I was always under the impression that 'Love Handles' were the extra meat on the sides of your thigh that stick out... apparently, being as thin as you are, he is referring to the 'Handles' on the sides of your wafer thin tummy that may just Stand out. However, I wouldn't say you are able to grab them.
Don't feel that he is bashing your belly any. He probably just sees a bit more bone than meat.

He is pretty much saying he loves the curves and contours of your body.
Love handles is extra fat that hangs off your obliques, aka the sides of your torso.
