Saying "I love you" While Drunk... Does it count?

I have been dating my best friend for 4 months... and on NYE... while having amazing sex... I may have blurted out "Oh God, I love you...".

We both had quite a bit to drink... but I did mean it... and he knows that. The thing is he never acknowledged it openly. However, the next time we went out he asked me if I would be willing to take a trip in the Spring to meet his parents... and asked me to be exclusive with him.

Guys... does telling them while drunk count? Why would you ignore it?

I should mention that he and I have been friends for over a decade... and about a year ago... we capitulated to having feelings for one another but were unable to act on them.

So what you are saying is that guys don't believe it when a girl tells them when they are drunk? You mean he thinks I said it because he thinks I just want to get into his pants??

No guy would believe it, when he thinks about it the next day sober. What you don't know about guys is that they want a fairytale romance too, just not as fluffy as what girls want. They want to believe it and they try to find out/pursue it, but most of the time they freak out and act like a bitch.

Ah. I see. Well I don't do "freak" outs nor drama. Hence why he and I work so well and have been so close for so long (11 yrs). He knows I care about him deeply -- and yes he is pursuing it. I have zero expectations - and let him set the pace as to where he wants it to go. I care about him deeply and in the end I am happy knowing he is (with me or without). He knows this too. My cards were on the table long before this - so when and if he's ready to reciprocate I am here for him.

See dear I won't drink but I had friends who drank and reveal the truth of there life which they have not shared with anyone.So what I feel is that you can consider this but be carefull.
