Guys, Am I sensitive or is he a jerk?

Guys, I've been dating a guy for just over two years. He likes to joke around, but when is enough really enough. He's a self proclaimed a$$hole and said it's the way he was raised and I need to grow a backbone, get a thicker skin, sling it back, etc.

He says things like, "Jesus, you could make a roomful of clowns kill themselves." Or, "You're the reason people have abortions" Or, "You're no looker, but you're loyal." And when I get upset, he tells me that it's just words. Sticks and stones. That I'm acting like a baby. And he's also said that if he'd listened to me that he'd be dead.

What do you think? Am I just too sensitive or is he going overboard?

Being sensitive is a + not a negative shit. So don't doubt ur personality.

In fact even if he don't mean it he is being a jerk coz even if he say something completely normal like ( hey ur hair looks long today )

If u reacted in a way that he understood u r upset if he love u or like u should never do it again.
Coz I know it upset u why the fuck would I do it again?

One time I did a joke she didn't like it I never do it again. Yes I like to tease her but my goal is to make her happy not to make fun of her. Making fun of her is nice and teasing is fun between purple but hurting them is not fun

Your education isn't the only thing to define yourself. He could have change if he wanted. These words aren't those from someone who really like you. By your reactions he should know that you dont like so he shouldn't repeat it
