In a long-distance relationship. When I ask my girlfriend to Facetime me, she does. But she never asks herself. Why?

I'm in a long-distance relationship with a girl and we are planning to get married next year after she graduates. She plans to move in with me. When I ask my girlfriend to Facetime with me, she always agrees. Even going so far as to wake up early so we can talk when her parents are asleep. But she never asks to or initiates a Facetime.

Also, she'll text message me 'Good Morning' or 'Good Night' here and there on her own, but otherwise she does not text unless I message her first. Also, sometimes when I do message her, she is slow to respond... taking like 5 to 10 hours. Why is she like this? I'm a little confused what it means.

I did the same thing at one point. A girl just loves getting the first text or call from their guy first. And she must be either super busy, doesn't like texting or ignoring if it takes that long. You need to tell her how you really feel.

okay first, she may be very busy with her school or works so she replays late. i believe you know her schedule. being busy leads some girls (me as well) forget that there's someone we have to contact. second, she really wants to text you first but she's afraid bothering you that's why she waits for you to text first, this is possible. third is the worst (im sorry to say this) she has someone there to accompany her cuz you're not around, she loves you, yes, but let's see who's physically there for her. i hope this helps. i can say this cuz i once in your girlfriend position who were busy and replied very late.

Maybe she just does not want to be clingy? Did you tell her you would like her to call you first sometimes?

somethings wrong here. I would ask her whats is going on. LDRs are hard, I been in many, was engaged in an LDR and it ended messy. Be careful.

What happened in your case?

I got into my LDR when I was your age. My father died that year and she was very shady with me. She was from Fla, Im in NYC. She made many lies on how she was here on 9/11 (To me thats a personal thing) and how she was a nurse. She wouldn't call my cell or text my cell, I had to text her first. She would make every excuse to fly up to see me. One Valentines Day I went running all over the city looking for her when she was sitting in her house. To boot I spent $50.00 on 2 - 12 long stem roses and candy for her. I eventually gave it to the 1st women I met on the street.

Just be careful is all I say. I used Skype way back when, and dial-up so my struggle was real

I think she's scared of seeming annoying or clingy, a lot of girls feel that way so they wait for the guy to make a move like that to know it's okay. Just let her know that she can call you whenever she wants :)
