So I'm 16, almost 17 in a few months and I haven't had my first kiss yet.. and obviously haven't lost my virginity yet either. I feel like it's really late now bc a lot of people I know are starting to lose their virginity and I'm pretty sure everyone I know has had their first kiss, and then you have me and I'm really shy and want to find the right person but I'm not sure when that'll be. I don't want to be 18 and haven't even kissed anyone yet. Is it weird?

You're very normal. Lots of girls haven't had their first kiss by your age. they just don't talk about it, as they feel like you do, that all the others girls have already. You are also fortunate that you still have your virginity, as you didn't give it away in some foolish, immature situation, that many of them wish they had never done. There is no rush to have sex. Wait until you are really sure you want to. The longer you wait, the more meaningful it will be, and the better the memory will be. Particularly if you wait for the guy you marry. Not saying you have to wait for marriage, just that, that is the ideal situation to make great, lasting, emotion filled memories.

I garuntee you that if you rush it you'll be unsatisfied with how it went down. Sex especially, the first time is always the worst because you don't know what you're doing. And the first kiss is always awkward. So don't rush it, just wait till it comes.

Not weird at all. I was 16 when I had my first kiss but I have a friend who just had hers at 20. And honestly some who are in their 20s and still haven't. You're still young and let me tell you, the people you will meet only generally increase in quality as you age. Give it time.

Everyone blooms at different stages. You will be surprise at how many are really at the same stage as you. It certainty isn't weird. Don't rush into anything as you will have more chance of having regrets.
