My boyfriend is mad at me for wearing a skirt?

So my boyfriend doesn’t like me wearing skirts or dresses and normally I’d go with it but last night we were getting dressed up for a small party. I put on a knee length skater skirt and at first he told me to change but I convinced him to let me wear it out. As some of our friends and my boyfriend and I were walking home the wind blew and my skirt flew up. I covered it fast but I think everyone saw my underwear already. When he dropped me off at home he told me I shouldn’t have worn it and he doesn’t want to see anymore skirts. I told him it was an accident and I’ll wear it if I feel like it. He stormed off and we haven’t spoken since. My question is, who’s in the wrong here? I want other people’s opinion

well you are right for not letting him dictate you on how to dress. it's your style not his. perhaps he is a bit possessive and does not want other guys looking at your legs, he wants to be the only one able to see it. or maybe he thinks all girls should be more covered. it's one of the two I'm sure

Possibly, he likes me to dress modest and save the sexy clothing for the bedroom which I understand, but in my opinion that skirt is perfectly fine and shouldn’t be a problem

besides that.. if you love skirts wear them long one and maybe shorts insides them...

I think he is just being part protective and part not wanting you to appear to entice the opposite sex. Skirts have that effect.

I can see where your boyfriend is coming from. There is a way to approach these things but I guess he just doesn't want other men ogling his partner.

When he got together with you he should accept that's the way you are and that's how you dress. He shouldn't try to change you, instead find a girl which suits his taste. If he's jealous and possessive now, then he probably won't get better but worse.

OK, so, you could have compromise with him on it.. you can't just say "im going to wear it and that's that", that's not how a relationship works, however, he sounds controlling.. both of you need to learn how to be in a relationship, not controlling, and compromise. that's how they work
