Why does my crush look down whenever I walk past him the halls?

miraculously, me and my crush will come out into the halls at the same time. What i mean by this is sometimes I’ll get late to school and when i turn the corner of the hall my class is in, he sometimes comes out and takes slips to the attendance office, or get water from the foundation. It’s really random and it keeps happening at the same time. So we’re in only two people in the halls, and he’ll see me from far away but then when he gets close he’ll look down until we pass each other. This happened all the time?

Sounds to me like he has a crush on you, but is afraid of looking at you for various reasons. It can be a lack of self confidence.

It could be that he has a crush/is in love with you, but doesn't know how to show it, so instead of going outwards with it, he pushes his feelings deeper, and deeper.

Or it could be that he's taking such extreme actions not to be classed as perverted, something that would completely shatter his reputation, by simply not looking at any woman/girl close by.

The MeToo movement did a lot of good, there's no denying that. Byt I wonder if it wasn't more destructive than productive, thanks to todays third wave feminism. Even though the people starting it had good intentions.
