What are signs a guy is thinking about proposing?

My boyfriend has been very future oriented lately. He has been talking about kids and how they’ll turn out, where we’ll live, etc. He knows my conservative Asian parents would never let me move in with him unless there was at least an engagement. When we are together he often plays with my rings. However we’ve only been together officially about 9 months, and known each other a year and a half.

Is he thinking about proposing or is this wishful thinking? What are signs a guy might propose?

if he ask about your ring size, diamond/gems, and its' shapes that you like, or if you like silver or golden metal color, then it could be a sign or maybe it's just for future reference, or you can propose to him instead.

Normally he gets on one knee and is holding a dimand ring in a small box in his hands. The ring costs around £1000 to a couple hundred mil and he’ll usually take you to a restaurant to do this.
