Being in love, to me, means that you cannot visualize or fully comprehend an emotional separation between you and the other person. In my opinion, that’s why people usually associate being “in love” with a romantic partner because most of the time there’s a lot of exclusive intimacy involved in the relationship. A Type of intimacy that they’re more unwilling to let go of once they’ve had it. It’s too new and shiny and sometimes more deep than the typical feelings they’ve had from the start regarding family and friends.

I think being in love with someone and saying “i am in love with you” means you are in love with how they are and them as a person, you love their flaws and their weird things about them and anything about them. However sometimes when you say I love you I feel like you just love the idea of them and you like being around them. If you are in love with someone you constantly think and worry for them in my opinion.
You can love your friends and family but you aren’t in love with them. In love is much stronger and when you meet the right person you know. Your feelings for them aren’t the same as if you were to love someone else close to you
I love you is I care a lot about you and if you need me I’ll be here for you. I’m in love with you is have my babies marry me, grow old with me and never leave my sight
Semantics.
"I love you" is a declaration of affection towards someone, whereas "I'm in love with you" is more of a comment on one's subjective personal experience, one that does not necessarily seek to generate a positive response in another person.
I love you means I really care about you to the point where I would die for you.. I'm in love with you means "I want to be with you romantically" basically..

This article may help. In love is closer to Eros while I love you is Storge.
herway.net/.../There is a huge difference. "I love you" is a choice. A compilation of memories, decisions, and selfless acts. "I'm in love" is an emotion, accompanied by strong uncontrollable urges and thoughts.
There isn't one. Mostly because people say "I love you" and don't say "I'm in love with" unless they're talking to another person about the one they love.
I love you - “I care about you, through everything good and bad”
I’m in love with you - “You make me feel good about myself and in turn I love you”"I'm in love with you" seems like something that you say for the first time. "I love you" seems like something you say anytime.
Loveing someone is to be drawn to them. In love is to have them.
Being in love is a temporary feeling, think infatuation, while loving someone is much more static
The first is more friendly Where's the second is more lustful.
You can "fall in love" every day. Loving is a completely different animal.
Just to me: Love is a choice. "In love" is really infatuation or hormones.
For the most part it is just women speak. A woman will say "I love you but I am not IN love with you." I have never heard of a man saying this.
I love you: Long haul. Real.
I'm in love with you: Short term obsession, will end soon, fake. One is for the moment and one is for couple of months lol
"In love" is more powerful.
