I met a man about six months ago that is on a professional committee with me. I thought he was really attractive and nice. My attraction for him grew, but he was dating someone else, I thought he was too young for me (I am in my early 40s and he is in his mid 20s), and we work together. A few months after we met he broke up with his girlfriend.
Last weekend our company sent both of us to a regional conference. We ended up spending most of the evening together. Saturday and he told me that night he had a little crush on me. I told him I've had a crush on him for quite a while. The only issues are he is much younger and we work together. Furthermore, although he told me he had a crush on me I still wasn't sure what exactly he was interested in. I told him I wanted to spend time with him, but I didn’t want to hook up. We stayed up all night talking - literally until the sun came up. He stayed in my room. We went to sleep and cuddled. I did end up kissing him Things got really hot and heavy for a minute, but I shut them down really fast. I can get attached quickly. I told him that I couldn't just hook up with him because of work and the age difference. He was totally understanding. He asked for my number. I gave it to him. He sent me a couple of text messages later that day (Sunday). I sent him a couple of messages Monday. Then he told me he couldn’t stop thinking about me or my body. I told him I couldn’t stop thinking about him either. It is crazy how much I'm still thinking about him.
Since then we've been talking nonstop through text. We're both very busy, but we've been trying to see each other as often as our schedules will permit. I haven't let us have too much privacy because if we got it I think there's an extremely good chance we'd hook up. I'm wildly attracted to him, but I'm very confused and unsure of what I should do at this point. I'm super, super into him, but he's a ton younger than me and I work with him.
