I was diagnosed with depression very recently, but i think it has been going on for about 3yrs before. When i was younger i had started to get curious about sex and began watching porn, i started very young in 4th grade. My mom had found out about this a year later and was not very understanding at first but later gave me the benefit of the doubt. A couple months later i started watching again and i made some very poor decisions on a personal note. When i got to he end of 5th grade i had a crush o someone who liked me back, i would not consider him my first because it was only for one week and we never spoke nor saw each other ever gain. In 6th grade i started to hangout with friends who had been through lots of things, one of them being my closest female friend, who had been molested by her dad at the age of 3. She had joked about killing herself multiple times and continues to do so. I also started hanging out with her friend who had anger issues and emotional trauma. He has made multiple attempt to kill or harm himself since i started to get to know him. he has tried to starve himself. He has cut himself, and showed me. And other ways that only him his parents and his counselor know of. During 6th grade i also started to develop a crush on my now boyfriend, we didn’t find out we like each other until 4months before school ended. I broke up with him after school ended because I didn’t feel a spark anymore, but he clearly still liked me. We got back together this year. But in 6th grade i was approached by two boys who asked me out, that was my first encounter of being liked by someone that i didn’t like or thought of as just a friend. Of course i felt bad fro them but they seemed to move on pretty smoothly. One of them however was trying to force me to like him back for a while until i blocked him. He then proceeded on two of my other friends, on one of them he sent a very explicit paragraph telling her what position where and how he wanted her to send nudes. Of course i was furious and i angrily texted him telling him off and such. He responded with “why should i listen to a vegan girl”. This brings me back to when i was 7, me and my mom were going to try out being vegan for 2months and i was very excited! When we went to church and told people bout it, they responded very negatively. They would come up tho me and say things like “you know you can eat meat, you don't have to listen too your mom” and “even though your mom wants you to be vegan your always welcome to eat meat at my house” they would say it as if my mom had forced me to eat vegan and that i had no choice in the matter, but what was worse was that my biological dad treated me the same way. When i had tried to convince him that I wanted to eat vegan at their house he would say things like “ well we can't save some of the stuff you eat” or “when you get back the almond milk will be bad”. One time i tried to get my mom to help me and then i was pushed aside and then heard my dad yell at her for “forcing” me to eat vegan and trying to “get me” to eat vegan at their house too. Headless to say neither me or my mom talked to him about it again. Thats just some problems with my dad, another problem is that me and my mom have always been prone to fighting. I would ask a question she tell me the answer i wold ask why she would get annoyed i would ask why again, she would yell and I would be grounded for “annoying her” . I have always felt like i can't communicate with my parents either because I’m doing something something wrong and i don’t know how to fix it or because they are doing something wrong and i can't tell them to or how to fix i without getting in trouble. And in fifth grade both m parents would get drunk a lot., and i would be stuck late at night taking care of them. Some nights they would be blasting using and dancing around with random people that I didn’t even know, or they would be out and i would be stuck watching the kids until 3 in the morning. They have since been trying to stay sober but do get drunk sometimes. This year i have found out i will be moving schools for the very first time of my entire life. Away from my boyfriend away from all my friends and away from the school that i had grown to love. If anything i would want to go to homeschool, but i know my dad wouldn’t let me even now, that they have shut down school due to the corona virus (COVID-19). Overall i guess I’m just worried about what will happen and about the future.
I don't want to ask you a lot of questions all at one time and overwhelm you, so if you answer my first one then I will ask you more because I think we can work through some of this now and more of it over some time. I want to help you through this hard time in your life if will let me, OK?
Here is my first question... Are you in the US or in another country? My guess is the US... am I right?
I know the schools are closed right now but the minute they reopen ask to see a school counselor. If you had a way to get there, the counselors many still be working even during the closure.
It doesn't matter if it is at your current school, or your new school.
She, or he, will be able to help you with what you are going through right now, or refer you to someone who can.
Most schools, and school counselors, are very attuned to this type of situation and know how to deal with it and offer many ways to help you. You can tell them everything. They will not judge you but will try to help.
This is the best advice that I can offer you for now but there may be more I can say later depending on how things go for you with the counselor.

Also, I just thought of something that you can do right away.
Go to your search engine and type in the name of your city and the words "Women's Shelter".
Find the one closest to you and then call them up. Ask them if there is anyone that you can talk to about problems you are having at home. The deal with both women, teens and children. They will be anxious to talk with you. They are loving and caring and have devoted their entire lives to help others, that is all they do every day 24/7.
Try that as well, ok? .. please. At least having someone to talk to that will understand you will help a lot! ... don't think about doing it... do it... there's a difference
I suggest you find a hobby or develop a talent. Trying to find a person to make you happy will always end in misery. You also come off as being pathetic and needy when all you talk about is a boyfriend or a girlfriend.
@supercutebutt i do like to sing and I think I’m pretty good at that so I can learn some more techniques and songs, and also I was only talking about my boyfriend because it was important to know about so people could help me. Sorry if I came off as pathetic or needy.
Been having suicidal thoughts for a while. I know i won't do anything but theyre still there and appear out of the blue. I guess mainly I've felt down because I feel like my lifes not going the way that it should be or im not in the correct path to achieve what i want. And im taking too long to achieve at least mediocre standards lol.

Oh I know I can do better. Thats part of it. I say this not in an arrogant way but i think most of us know what we're capable of. And i feel like im capable of so much more. But I don't know why I feel stuck most of the time. I guess under better circumstances i would be in a better position but for right now I gotta work with what I was handed with and try to make the best of it🤔 thanks for asking😊
Please get a check with your doctor for your hormone balance. You would be surprised how much that can effect your psyche. Also, a good diet will help immensely.
Also, keep this number handy and near you at all times just in case...
I used to be really depressed all the time. I can thankfully find joy in the little things in life now, and learned to live with it. Currently, my depression is bareable, but feels like 500 pounds in my head. Remember when you were younger and said, "stress? What the hell is that?"
Wait 5 years. Everyone is going to be complaining about stress next.
I imagine depression evolves in different stages. In my teens, I was a ball of energy, desperately trying to signal to everyone that I was perfectly fine, without realizing it.
In my early 20s, it collapsed in on me and I began to despise myself. I hated everything but that wasn't the real me. I fucked with my own head that way too much. Someone had to pay for what I had been through. It wasn't my fault.
That's the victim mentality, if you can recognize it. And we don't choose our parents, health conditions, bodies, and environments we grow up around. So it is tough to face these obstacles, though it's not the right approach.
It's best when faced with something traumatic to replace it with a healthy activity (work, exercise, read, write, call friend, etc) instead of an unhealthy distraction, drug, drink, etc.
Though I understand its more difficult. Usually the difficult things are worth it.
I used to be very secretive but I've learned not to be a closed and buried box so here you go - I'm a professional tennis player and I had been training abroad, playing tournaments and practicing at my fullest. I used to give more than what I could and then some. The way I was playing and the little success I was seeing in my game was heavenly. I did all this ignoring the minor pains here and there but there was one recurring pain, my back. When I came back home for pre-season I got it properly checked and it turns out I have slip disk. I know injuries form a part of sports but boy does it hurt. Mentally speaking ofc. I feel so many things right now that I don't even know how to type it. Probably no one will read this but if you could, any sort of help would be appreciated.
P. s. - I'm not depressed or even sad all the time, but sometimes I feel extremely unwell and sad.
No, I am not going through anything unusual right now, just doing my good deed for the day.
Well, yours is not an easy one to deal with quickly, but over a not too distant time it is going to improve. I love to play racquetball and when I was hit in my gastrocnemius, better known as the "calf muscle" and was taken out of the game for several weeks, I was very depressed. I had developed a routine with friends and family and suddenly was taken out of it, so I can relate to your dilemma very well.
I am not a medical expert so I am not sure if you are saying that you can no longer play tennis, or if you are saying that because of this injury you will never be as good as you want to be, or if you will get treatment and with some time be able to play at full potential again.
Please clarify that much before I render more thoughts please :)
I need a lot of time to recover, then I need more time to practice to bring my level back to where it was before. I can play tennis after sometime but it has been 2 months and the pain is still there. So it's hard yeah, but not impossible.
A lot has happened in the past year and a half. I lost my light, the woman who raised me. Divorced my husband and had to fight to keep my kids and family home. Lost any bit of a relationship I had with my abusive mother after one horrific night (my birthday) and I am not sure if that is a pro or con... My Youngest was diagnosed with cancer. My ex stole all my money and took out loans against the house that I pay all the bills for (which I am now responsible for paying back) and then stole my e. i when I had to take time off work to be in the hospital with my child. Leading up to court proceedings I was threatened, sworn at and humiliated by my ex, in our kids' hospital room.
But you know what? If this past year and a half, has taught me anything, it is that we are so much stronger than we think we are. I'll admit it has been rough, and there were times I wondered if it was worth going on, I sometimes still do. But I think of my kid and how she is fighting for her life and feel so guilty for thinking that way. And poor every bit of resolve I have left into making tomorrow better for us.
I've struggled with a lot of downs in my life lately. And tried to study positive or have gotten good at "faking" it. But, life can have a way of showing us that even in very bad times, there can be good. I want to thank you @laurieluvsit with what you are trying to do to be a positive see a time many need it. You had to tell your mother so she could assess the risk for herself.
Your sister is being very selfish and narcissistic about it.
Maybe letting go is the best and the smoke will blow over on all of this.
Next time you see your sister, unless you are afraid of contracting something, give her a hug and let her know that you didn't mean anything by it and are only trying to be helpful and protect everyone.
Sometimes family strikes the deepest, but we have to do what is right even if we get hurt by it. You did what was right, in my opinion, and hopefully, you and your sister will come together and rekindle your friendship.
Somewhat. I'm locked at home, I can't really do anything and I just feel in a morass. I don't say anything to my fiancée to not make her worry, and I'm not sure she'd understand anyway.
I live in Lombardy, as you know it's the epicenter of the Coronavirus outbreak. I have also lost my job. My fiancée is a nurse and she works 10+ hours a day, so as of now I focus on keeping the home, cook her favorite dishes and support her. She's optimistic, but I see our situation s quite bleak.
@Jean-Marie_Céline I am so sorry to hear that you lost your job. Did you loose it because of the virus, or is it due to other circumstances?
Your fiance being in the medical industry is a very positive profession, like food everyone has to have it at some time or another, so chances of a lull in those industries are slim to none, unlike yours apparently.

I like to think that I lost my job because of the virus, but since out of 10 people working in that office only I and another woman got a termination notice, I guess it means we were already on the black list.
I'm proud of my fiancée's work but I feel really inadequate compared to her.
@888theGreat in my country marriage is still somewhat common among young people, but I understand I'm still a little under the age even here. People here start to engage and get married at 25, although frankly that's my fiancée age.
Just an ever downward spiral of despair and self loathing. I'm not good enough for myself, my family, finding a date or a job. I eat because I'm bored and fed up, I'm fed up because I'm putting on weight. I do what my mum says because hearing her moan is worse than trying to explain why I don't want to do something. My PC crashes when I try to play anything half decent, the Wi-Fi is shit, the internet randomly disconnects but I can't get support because it means disabling everyone's internet whilst I run tests for days. I moved my desk so now I can't use my PS4 or do my jigsaw. I get interrupted whenever I try to avoid people and ignored when I try to interact.
My last thought every night is how I hope I never wake up again and my first thought in the morning is disappointment at still being alive. I wish I had the strength to kill myself but I fear failing and only severely injuring myself, a ruined body would only make life worse.
I feel I've heard everything I should be doing and none of it works. Antidepressants are just random tablets doctors give out to try to make you think you should get better. The government doesn't care about diagnosis or fixing anything only destroying the country one bit at a time.
Other than that... I should have gone to bed at least three hours ago. So nothing too major and another day awaits... joy...
Shit, I am sorry friend. Have you tried to get a hobby to take up your spare time or start a collection? I agree with laurieluvsit, even though it may sound odd or bullshit, lol. It probably doesn't work for everybody, but it is worth a try. I don't know a ton about it or how to go about starting it, but Google is very helpful and I am sure laurieluvsit will be able to help you with any questions. If you have anything you want to ask or just talk about, I am here for you.
One day you just have to choose your pc or your future. One day at a time. You don't have to go cold turkey, but limit yourself and find a way that works for you.
This is coming from someone who has stress ate and gamed to replace pain too.
I was offered two choices: fix it or move on. Your road will be different than mine. Its extremely painful, but its paying off.
Get therapy. Find your Why. And what's holding you tethered to that chair, instead of getting off the weight/going towards your future. Only you know that, no one else. So don't feel bad, upset, or judged for any reason for that reason. Everyone has hobbies they distract themselves with that can get out of hand. You're normal and human.
Stay off any electronics as long as you can and refocus on exercising and diet, become obsessed on your next figure and reward yourself for losing 2, 4, 5 pounds. Each pound. Electronics aren't bad, they're neutral. So don't feel bad using them after a productive day. Which can be anything new and towards your goal. If your goal is to lose 200 pounds, you have to make sacrifices my friend. you're going to have to give up the pc, walk daily, eat green, and only drink water for months to years. To have a happy life, with maybe a couple days back on a pc. If you can do that, you can do anything, then you'll feel invincible.
If you have recognized that gaming hasn't been good in your life... why is it so hard for you to quit?
Its simple stimulation. Much like monkeys, humans have distant memories. And monkeys would probably play games if they knew how. This can be replaced again through exercise and a healthier social life.

I lost 2 family friends to suicide this year, and a few of my came out as suicidal. One of them is actively attempting and is at about 9 attempts from the past month, I'm stuck in 2 toxic friendships and I just really hate how I look. My cat is dying from infections and she might pass away soon, I also haven't seen my brother in a few months and his phone number has been changed and he has moved away without telling us. No contact from him since October last year. Nervous ongoing into high school as I'm getting into a very difficult program that not everyone gets the diploma on (IB). I also just am overall disappointed in myself as a human being because I very just want to be a nicer person, a more attractive person, and I want to be healthy.
I'm kinda overweight and I've been eating about 1000-1500 calories since I was 10 yet I only gain weight, the 1000-1500 calories I've been eating are all healthy foods with a once a month cheat meal. I also have my piano exams that are coming up and I don't think I can perfect all my songs before it.
Always empathic and want to help but overall we all are drawn to pain as we learn to deepen our hearts capacity that way. Being enlightened and heightened to the emotional static of many others I cannot even see or hear, I know how beautiful pain can be and it's ok to feel. Always remember that pain leads to growth and capacity for knowledge wisdom and understanding. Why are those of us that are so enlightened by that same pain always so quick to try and prevent it's enlightenment and development in others. The most beautiful thing about pain is when you realize it's all self induced sought out anyway. Then and only then can that pain become beautiful and the soul qualified to minister to others. Words don't relate to pain near as much as the shared understanding of each other's pain. Pain is natural even though we don't want it and think others inflict it. No all emotional states arise from within and radiate outward. Nothing can quell pain and promote it's beauty and understanding as much as the tears of a complete stranger as they live it with you. We must learn to share our pain bad experience it equally together as a race to find true connection and comprehension will be acheived
I am depressed , down and crying a lot because a man I have been friends with , met at Lafayette Heights - church of Christ - and I had known for over 10 years has passed away ! I had done everything with him including going hunting and fishing with him ! we showed each other affection when we were together and loved each ! Curtis Lee Cromer passed away in February or March of 2020 and I did not know about his going on to be with the Lord until I went online and talked to our preachers wife Tonya Watson who told me through my email something like this - Dawn , I am sorry to tell you that Curt Cromer passed away a few weeks ago - ! however I know that Curt Cromer is in heaven with God right now ! the loss of my friend Curtis Lee Cromer is heavens gain ! The woman that I fell in love with the second I laid eyes on her almost 30 years ago has gone from healthy to fighting for her life everyday she's paralyzed from the waist down she's lost so much weight that her thighs are the size of my wrists all this and more has happened in less than 6 months. I started answering this about 6 hours ago and have rewritten my answer now 4 times each time with less info then the last. There's not enough room on this site for me to fill you in enough to get an understanding of where I'm at in my life my heart is like a dog that's been beaten for years by the one person he thought loved him and he's beyond broken beyond defeated and has nothing left. I don't know why it's so hard to push send. It doesn't really matter.

Disease the doctors haven't even given a diagnosis yet they're still running tests they say they believe she has a combination of rare immune diseases like CIPD and something else. In October she was diagnosed with adult onset type 1 diabetes but at this point she's kicked diabetes ass her numbers are good and have been for the last 3 months but she's still going down hill. It's not fair when we met I was a bad guy I was a drug dealer I was violent (never against women or kids but I had a reputation for hurting grown men and I was a teenager) and she changed all that in me I should be sick not her

I also had Wool's 1/2 polecat chunky daughter , Polefat , she went missing April last year , my beloved girls can never be replaced. It is the start of the breeding season for ferrets / polecats , so no kits are yet available until late April at the earliest.
Yeah pretty much just feel lonely. I haven't really spoken to my friends in over 3 weeks even though we go to the same school. They're always hanging out and having fun and I hear about it a few days later or something. I don't really feel wanted with the sarcastic put downs and the "you're not funny stop trying to be" they seem more interested in what others have to say apart from me and they're much nicer. I'm often told I'm not really apart of the group I'm just there. I often see the guy who sexually assaulted me and the only other person who knows about it thought it was consented and I was throwing a hissy fit by going off on the guy who assaulted me. The guy who assaulted me thought it was my fault and I consented to it. What part of no squeezing my legs together and pursing my lips doesn't he get?

You used the term "my friends". That term does not apply to anyone that treats you the way that you describe. Those are not your friends. You need to find some real ones.
Get involved with some school clubs of some kind and offer to help out in what ever way that you can. Find others that spend their time trying to be helpful to others and not tearing people down, then you will have found true friends.
If you don't know what clubs are at your school go to the school counselor to find out... tell your school counselor what you have said here and ask for his, or her, advice on what you can do to get involved and find some real friends. These are the kind of questions and help that school counselors love to have more than any others and will go out of their way to assist you and follow through to make sure your fortunes are moving in the right direction... I am not kidding!

I mean I say this but one friend in school is pretty decent to talk to and we have sleepovers and go get food. I am on the swim team but that's shut down as of now and we're too busy revising to talk to eachother
I'm depressed a lot lately but that's just because I feel I've hit a rut in life. I have a decent job and I'm blessed with a place to stay but I don't want to be doing this 10 years from now. I don't want to be just getting by.
I considered trying to get a degree in music production but the financing is daunting. I'm still paying off my first attempt at higher education.
I play video games as an escape but that only lasts for so long before I have to get back to reality.
There are many courses and degrees that you can get online for not so much money. Consider that.
Also, many people are self taught from internet studies and never get a degree but go on to be successful using what they learned on their own... consider that was well!
Yeah, this epidemic has me worried about family and friends, and I'm not able to get out and socialize and do the things I enjoy. Haven't even been able to exercise sufficiently as the gym is closed, my bike is broken (and the bike shop closed) and it's been raining most of the last two weeks. Not overly happy with the new job I started a couple months ago either, but in the current conditions don't feel I can look for another one. Having trouble getting motivated to do the basic things.
But I wouldn't say I'm fully depressed. Been through that before and at least I'm able to function somewhat now.
you are definitely one of the healthy "gems" out here. Mental health will be one of the big questions coming out of this as peoples usual outlets are turned off and they go to social media, which is proven to be despair creating...
Whenever people say overcoming depression is possible (be it by lifting, eating salads and talking about it) i always have the same thing in my mind. "Possible to overcome" hahahaha. In what realm is this even a possibility? Are they joking or optimistic or do they have a constant supply of anti depressants? Or are they middle class enough to live in Europe or to rent prostitutes every day or even both?
I've come to have accepted to die with depression. At 10 years old and still ongoing there's no long term hiding from it. Fight it all you want. It's here to stay. Let life run it's course.

I am getting the strong opinion that on one hand you want to fix this but on another you don't. If you make up your mind what you want to do you can do it. There is way to fix this if you want it fixed.

The price of it is unlike anything imaginable to ones personal finances and other assets. It's like i got divorce-raped at 15 years without even being married in the first place. 🤔
I just feel like I don't have anyone I can count on. I have friends but not the kind you ride or die with. I just want people in my life who I can open up to about my past comfortably. It sucks feeling so alone.

Yes, I do want to 'fix it'. I want to meet reliable and trustworthy people but it's really hard to. I definitely wouldn't be satisfied if I was left feeling along the rest of my life. By the way, I love that you asked this question it was really kind and considerate. <3
There is an easy way to fix this if you really want it fixed.
Here's what you do. Look up all the volunteer organizations in your area. I'm not sure what they have in Canada, but in the US, it would be CERT (Community Emergency Response Team), The American Red Cross, Women's shelters, Etc.
Go volunteer there even if just an hour or two a week. You will meet the best, more reliable and caring people on the planet in every age group. They will love you for caring for their cause as well.
I know this works for a fact. I am a Level 1 EMR with CERT, which is a Search and Rescue Team of first responders. I do not get paid a penny. I love helping people. The people that do this with me are the most unbelievable people on the planet. Completely opposite in personality of a selfish person, but instead are selfless. I love them all and they love me for being there with them to help others.
At least look into it, you owe it to yourself... you can thank me later when you message me back to tell me what you decided to do and all the great friends you are meeting... OK?
@Ceasar97 I have very few close friends. We hang out with each other often and we gossip and do all that but I still don't feel like I can be 100% honest with them..
I actually miss being depressed. Believe it or not, it's just that nothing fazes me anymore. I got blocked by the girl I was trying to date and I didn't even lose sleep over it, just thought about it now to give an example. Trust me depression, heartache, is way better than being completely dry.

My advice to all those who are feeling depressed is : 1. Don't seek for sympathy More you seek for it more you pity yourself. It makes you fragile.
2. If you're stuck in long dark tunnel you have to run by yourself towards light💡 It won't happen without your own efforts. If you give up yourself how can someone help you.
3. Its better to smile when facing problems than getting crushed with mere thought of failing to solve it. 4. Worst thing that can happen to you is the death. Even cells, heart in your body haven't given up!!!
If you can't get over people that supposedly hurt you emotionally try taking break go for vacation where everyone is unknown. Talk to people have fun, play, keep yourself busy don't take rest spend 3 days like that. Now look how happily people live their life.
Worrying or getting depressed about something won't change the situation. just put some action and go with flow of life.😇
I'm down because I'm on the verge of graduating and I don't have a long term plan for myself nor do I have the courage for thinking something for myself. I'm going to join a company which I bagged during my campus placements but I personally think I could've done something more.
@the_sinner It's normal to fear the unknown. But at least you have the education and your foot in the door at that company. Your first job after college isn't always the greatest but it helps for the job experience and to pad the ol resume
i'm having trouble getting over my ex... here two months later, i still love her... i know it's over, but i remember what we had and realizing it isn't anymore is painful... i'm also seperated from my dearest Chuckles the undead horse... my musclecar, she went to a transmission shop, been there 2 weeks... this transmission i overhauled 7ish months ago... i also suffer from lack of funds because my boss... neglects to pay for indeterminate amounts of time
This is the most amazing thing I think I've seen on anything like this I'm down now actually discussing things on this site has really helped things are looking up but there are other people on here I'm guessing that do you need to encourage mint and if anybody needs anything look up on her profile and hit me up I will listen I know how it is

Ya know I tried to do the right thing and be there for my family and stay around here and all it got me was being stuck inside with people brainwashed by the media who are fucking crazy. I am depressed most of the time now because this is worse than any virus.
Exactly I mean I am guessing most of these cases are the flu or just people with a cough or fever. How can they say the cases are rising so rapidly but they don't have enough tests to test these people? They are just calling it Corona virus when it is the common cold or flu.
Stupidest thing ever... I am angry about something that didn't even happened to me. Problem is I am angry about it for 11 years now. Not joking! It's a situation that I know it relates to me in some form due to my family problems, but still never happened to me directly. Still hearing about people that went through it... I can't get over it. It burns my soul to the point I had to stop mid car drive to shout really loud, vomit and punch everything around me. How can I stop being so angry over something that I have no control over or direct influence since it didn't happen to me? Stupidest thing ever!

It was very nice of you to start this to try and help. But sometimes people are just messed up with no solution whatsoever.
The biggest problem is some people don't want one and prefer to stay in the box that they have become accustomed to. It they weren't they wouldn't be staying there :)
The best solution that I know of for that is to help other people, volunteer somewhere and get your mind off of yourself and your anger for awhile and see what you can do to improve the world around you for someone that will appreciate it. That will do much to alleviate your anger.
This is a great question and I am thrilled that you are doing it. I am sure that I have episodic depression right now and feel pretty shitty about a few other things as well in my life. I would love to say that I will share my problems with GAG, but in general, I don't like to talk about myself and would rather help others with their problems and struggle through my problems in silence. Still a fantastic question and I applaud you for posting it. :)

Lost my almost 9 year career car was stolen same night 2 broken rims. Damaged donut hole in my front bumper. It was either pay out of pocket or my rate goes up like crazy. 😥 i know ill be ok and things will be ok tho once i get this fixed in the next couple weeks. Im ok for the most part
Sometimes life just likes to give us a hard smack to make sure we are still awake. At least it isn't anything mental and you weren't hurt, except financially of course. Keep pushing through the slaps and I am glad that everything is ok for the most part.
Be careful what you wish for, you will never have peace if you ask strangers to share their troubles xD
I'm personally doing great. I have a few things holding me back here and there, but ultimately my life is my own and I don't have anything to complain too much about.
If you asked this question yesterday, my answer would've been that I was depressed and borderline suicidal due to the rapidly declining state of our society and how lonely I've felt all these years. But now that I've found something that's brought joy back into my life I'm in the best mood I've had in years! And it's all thanks to no longer giving a damn about the well-being of people who don't deserve compassion and fully embracing cynicism!
there's something to be said for "not giving a damn". To be honest, that was a huge turning point for me. But funny thing is... by not giving a damn, it freed me up to feel better and to give a damn in the right way, so I'm even more caring:)?
The problem is that my brain constantly produces too much cortisol for me to deal with thanks to my upbringing. Honestly, I'm just waiting for and looking forward to the day when I finally snap and successfully off myself. Its gonna be the best day of my life.😑
You correctly responded "my upbringing". The good news is you are a normal human being. The bad news is you are in a world that projects negative, low vibration emotions that you are admitting you don't like. Either you had it really good and can't stand what you see, or you had it really bad, and can't stand how you feel. You see the sick all around you, and you are right in that, and it brings out the worst of you. When you get a better perspective on the problem, when your own heart is in a good place, then you engage the sick and have empathy for those who abused you and who are ill (emotionally). One way out is to just die... end the life 50 years before it's cycled time limit. The other is to welcome different viewpoint, starting with yourself, in a good way. That is the choice we all have. Some people are in a much more harsh reality than I had, so I will not judge. The right perspective puts your own emotions in the right place, so you can feel good about yourself and others, without taking on the "flaws" of the world, which is beyond your ability. If you are functioning out of "honor", others sickness is that much harder to handle.
Narcissistic Personality Disorder ruled my household growing up, so I had it really bad. As bad as you'd imagine if you know anything about NPD. Everything is just hopeless. And I want it to be over with already.
I do but didn't experience as a child. That would be awful and probably create a lot of rage, self abuse, etc.. confusing feelings. maybe even various personalities. I know people who have been through awful and came out whole. There are spiritual gifts hidden underneath all that oppression. It's all just emotions in your sub conscious mind, they seem hard to change, but healing those enables the others to grow, then you find a whole "you" that you didn't know even existed. It's like... an acorn hiding in the soil... stuck in a shell... until it finds its way out and sprouts... becomes a might tree! A Much different view! It's your life to own...
Truth to be told, if I knew I was going to die tomorrow then I would be because there are things I need to get done before I die and if I don't... I'll come back as a ****ing ghost to make sure I do.

Yeah, I... Honestly don't know why. I've sorta always been this way if that makes sense. I never knew how it was to have the mental strength to get up early or how somebody could forget the total negativity around them. It may have just been a part of my OTHER issues, but Depression's simply been a matter of life thing for me.

Luckily I have my own home gym, but it is not the same without the large numbers of people around to mingle with.

I have a lot of shame thats been embedded in me from past experiences like bullying from school. My self identity is utterly fractured. Apparently I also have a very intense mind which fucks with me so badly that all I can feel I can possibly live in is despair. I analyse every moment into nothing.
I feel like I don’t matter, like nobody cares, unattractive, unwanted a burden. I honestly feel like people wouldn’t really care if I died. I’d be easy to get over

First, I am sure that you know this already, but what you are going through is extremely common for the children of divorced parents. Knowing that doesn't make it any easier, I know, but it helps explain much of what is going on. Divorce is devastating to children in many ways and especially when you are the only one, then you have extreme bouts of loneliness to deal with, with no sibling to hug and share hard times.
If you have "good parents" as you say, why aren't they there for you, even if it is separately, to help you through this? Give me your take on that please.

Im pregnant and my now ex boyfriend dumped me so that he can have sex with other women knowing fully well I was expecting. I really wanted the family we had talked about and it really sucks to be pregnant and not have the love and support from your partner, and what is worse is that he is probably giving that love to someone else while he keeps contacting me saying he loves me and wants to hold me. Im trying really hard but its going to be a hard and lonely road up ahead.
Please don't be suckered into letting him off scott-free!

I think a man that abandons his child and child's mother, except for the most extreme circumstances, has responsibilities that must be kept and sometimes that will eventually bring him to his senses and he will reunite with you.
If he turns out to be as much of a looser and he is trying so hard now to convince you that he is, than you don't want him to be around you, or your child, anyway, but make him pay the price he is responsible for and then find a good guy that is worthy of you and will treat you like the queen that you are!
Some guys don't deserve to have children or good partners. I would agree with laurieluvsit and think he should help you raise that child, with money if not care. I know it isn't always that easy though. Loneliness is painful and incredibly hard, but a good guy that cares for you and your future child can help relive the pain. Try to find that person and until then, surround yourself with great friends and family that have shoulders made for you to cry on and if those are hard to come by, you can always cry on GAG and we will be here to pick you up.
I'm feeling a bit depressed, I'm feeling kinda lonely since my girlfriend left me 😭 so I'm tryna get my life back..

Coronavirus and quarantine.
Out of work (a job I dearly enjoy), no socializing, no music, can't travel to see family, nothing to do, nowhere to go, and I'm not even sick/infected or know anybody who is. The world I once knew is now totally unrecognizable.
if this continues for the next month or two, i'm going to off myself for certain. :(
