Am I the only one who’s grossed out by bodily functions in a relationship?

The thing I don’t quite understand is why people act like it’s such a big deal to not fart around your partner. I’ve been with my boyfriend for 2yrs and we haven’t done it around each other. Well he has a few times on accident and I haven’t ( as far as I know). I’ve never been in a situation where it’s mad me uncomfortable. Honestly I don’t get the hype behind farting around your SO

My boyfriend’s like you, but I fart around him quite a bit. It’s just natural, and when I’m alone I fart whenever I feel it coming so I think it’s great that I can behave around him that way too. Think about it. I’d have to permanently alter my farting habits if I didn’t just let them rip in front of him. There’s no “hype,” it’s just one of the few ways you can let yourself go (as long as you don’t overdo it). I mean, it’s better than getting fat, which couples often do when they’re too comfortable with each other.

Maybe our habits are different but I really don’t fart frequently enough for it to be inconvenient for me to just hold it or leave when I’m with my boyfriend

I understand that. Part of it is just biological, like my boyfriend doesn’t really get gas but I’ve always been by far the gassiest person I know. Therefore, me farting in front of a romantic partner or friend is inevitable, and even in front of strangers it tends to happen. If I need to let out more gas and farts than you on a daily basis then it makes sense that I’ll habitually push them out while you don’t have to.

It’s really not that hard... you to all the way to the bathroom to poop and pee right. It’s literally the same hole anyway so why not take a trip there lol

Well if I’m going to poop or pee I’d go to the bathroom, but I’m not getting up and going to the bathroom just to fart.

Hype? It's a natural bodily function. If it's occasional I don't see an issue with it. But if they are doing it frequently and not making an effort to mitigate sound, etc. Then it could be an issue.
If you stay together, you're probably going to hear each other rip ass later in your lives when your bodies age anyways. Looks don't last forever, neither does being able to control bodily functions.
