Only two or three come to mind, early assumptions getting into poly. If anything more of my relationships have ended from brutal honesty and being very clear about the point I'm trying to convey when asked something.

Also asking for clarification so I can understand what my partner is trying to communicate. I wouldn't say I'm a cathy chatty pants, but when something needs to be discussed, it's best to have clarity. Sometimes that clarity leads to an understanding that what they want or expect is never going to happen.

Anyway, if you extend that to one night stands and no strings attached type deals, oh boy, I think a solid 2-3% of the parish I live in would want me gone. I warned my wife that I never wanted to move back here lol. Every time someone says my name and I don't recognize them I'm like "what, that's not me, I'm Scott, see, says so on my business card" trick learned long ago, pick up business cards from everyone, and become that person when it's convenient. That's called method acting, right?

I broke up with several girlfriends, but I don't think that counts. I didn't exactly kill the relationships because , I just decided to move on.

I have zero counts against me with my wife of nearly 25 years.

I am guilty of one count with a particular girlfriend. Something happened to that relationship and I didn't understand what it was at the time. I later, slowly came to realize that I hadn't done enough to reassure her how deeply I loved her. I had been too clueless, self centered and satisfied with our relationship. She was satisfied, too, and she loved me, but I think she felt taken for granted. I didn't do the things I should have to let her know that I treasured her and loved everything about her.

Well, to my knowledge, I've yet to kill a romantic relationship but a couple of times, not completely on me as both friends had and still have issues, there are a couple friends I burned bridges with. One that swore me to keep a secret from my church about a plan they had as they were kicked out of the church and were trying to find a way back in. Basically, give them a gift but don't say who it is from, that's all you have to do... And became bitter when I did not want to be involved with it after. I think she is shunning me now 😬

Roughly half the people I know my age already have kids so one has to imagine by the time I'm 27 if I'm still perpetually single and a virgin, which I likely will be, my desirability as a partner thanks to that will be next to nil. Plus I'll be in my late-20s, no longer able to be the hot young guy to awesome older lady like I always wanted.

Right now I'm kind of a loser struggling to get back on his feet and get noticed and if I'm lucky I'll be able to get things done in a few months and get the kind of life I want. Hopefully before I'm 25 I can have it, go back and see the lovely lady I want to see and meet someone, change my life and finally have someone who wants to be with me.
But let's imagine worst case scenario is I don't and I spend my 20s waiting for someone who never shows up and I fail at things again.

There are guys I know who are like 300lbs and talk about women so disgustingly who have a girlfriend and a kid at this point and sometimes I see that and think "why am I alone?", "why am I pining over women I can't have?". "I deserve better".
On the other hand it's given me plenty of time to focus on making my appearance and skills better.
