Why does my boyfriend follow bikini models on social media but act indifferent when I say I want to look like that?

My boyfriend sent me a link of an event (hotel pool party) today and said he thinks the girls at the event are not as good as the guys. However, I know he follows several of the girls' on Instagram recently. I didn't say anything but told him I will look like those sexy girls before the summer ends (I am fit but not as lean as some of the girls). It took him several hours to just reply "ok" to me. I feel a bit odd. Apparently, he thinks those girls are attractive, otherwise, he wouldn't follow them. But why does he claim that he doesn't and not being supportive when I try to be better?

If you're eating steak at home every night, you don't look up steak restaurants and like their steaks.

He's looking at stuff that is different to you, to satisfy his urges for lots of different women. When you say you want to be the same as them... he doesn't find that appealing.

Why do men have urges for lots of different women? What about relationship and love?

It's biology. 4 million years of evolution, men had to be able to breed prodigiously with lots of different types of women, or the species would bottle neck and die out. Women had to be more selective because sex carried the risk of pregnancy and a lifelong commitment to raising her child.

You can't just undo evolutionary selection pressure because 60 years ago we invented the pill.

I understand that he can find many women attractive, but when I feel like I am attractive and I know I am as there are guys hitting on me from time to time. His reaction makes me feel like I am less attractive than the girls (with filters and shit) he follows.

You're not unattractive - it's just that you're you, and they are them.

If he gets to the point where he's not treating you well, not having sex with you, not being romantic, etc.. that's far more of a warning sign than just liking or following some chicks online.

I personally you used to follow girls like that, I unfollowed all of them they seemed so shallow. Not really on social media now a days. Wholesome is better

He is trying to understand his own interests. But pretty disrespectful of him to follow such girls while in a relationship
