We've been together going on almost 2 years. We used to work together. We worked in different departments but he'd come up to me and start conversation. But I thought he was cute and sweet and we really hit it off so here we are lol. He officially asked me out first tho lol

Why am I not surprised, that's another reminder of my lifelong resentment that men are always expected to talk to women first or make the first move but I know that will never change

It's a long story... i just shortened it. Truth is we worked in different departments. Then I transferred departments and he was actually my boss for a while so we didn't think a relationship would be appropriate. We each started dating other people before we ever actually got together. He changed jobs (still had his other girlfriend). We lost contact because we weren't working together and he had a girlfriend. They eventually broke up so he messaged me on social media to ask me out.

Why do I get the feeling it will always be one-sided in terms of who does the asking out, sounds like he has done pretty well with dating most of his life, my guess is he had his first girlfriend in his teens
