I doubt there is any woman out there that holds the same political or religious views that I hold. That's the problem with being a freethinker. Religiously I subscribe to the idea of apatheistim meaning that the question of whether there is or isn't a god is not relevant to the development of a good life. If you take the core teachings of any religion at it's face you get the same tenants that create a functioning moral framework for any good community/society. Most people that are religious focus on what religion tells them not to do instead of what it tells them to do; as a result you end up with a lot of religious zealots that hold the personal restriction of "well if there's no god or afterlife, what is there to stop me from just randomly killing people". On the political hand, I'm individual libertarian bordering on anarchist because we've fucked up US politics and society so bad that the only way to fix these things are to reset them to functional and essential values. Put everyone back on a battlefield where we're all fighting for our lives and let truly functional moral and social frameworks emerge. Right now we're regulating regulations 7 layers deep and we can't even see the foundation on which we built this nation; most people don't even understand that the federal government isn't even supposed to have power inside of state borders, they exist to function entirely on the borders for mediation between states. The more localized you go, the more power that each level of government is supposed to have. In theory you should be able to smoke crack in your house and as long as it doesn't infringe on the rights of anyone else AKA you don't start breaking into cars or homes to support your drug usage, it doesn't matter.
I have a feeling that finding a woman with even a self defined set of beliefs that she's taken actual time to develop for herself is next to impossible let alone one that aligns with the very broad view of these topics that I take.
Politics could mean less to me (not just because im young) but also because we wouldn't discuss it much and it would be just who we vote for. Now thats different if they have different values then me. (racism, homophobia, other things) Though I acknowledge that not all people who support different sides are those things. Religion ehh im atheist but I dont mind going to church and other religions would be cool to experience, even as a bystander.

Depends how staunch they were.
I know people with very different beliefs, but it doesn't get in the way of the relationships. It's all about the attitude.
If they insult 'the others' chronically, then no way.
I went to HS with extremely personally attractive woman despite finding no common ground on any of the above. We shouldn't get along at all but we had a thing a few years ago that worked somewhat well. I think it was that we just happened to fill in the missing pieces of each other. I miss that.
I think you should value a person based on who they are. Their beliefs are both a product of who they are and a help in forming who they are. If you genuinely like a person but not their beliefs, perhaps you don't totally understand their beliefs as much as you think you do. That's ok. They probably don't understand yours either.
With that being said, I would pursue somebody who I like as long as they can accept me too. If there is a part of me that would lead to conflict (not just disagreement), then I don't think they are open minded enough for me. If they disagree, no problem with that whatsoever! If they are hostile towards my views, that's a big red flag.
Eh depends how often I have to hear it. I'm not religious myself, so its just as annoying to be grilled on my thoughts about Jesus over Tuesday dinner as it would be to be grilled on thoughts about disabilities and taxes.
I'll have an indepth conversation with someone about topics, but I couldn't put up with someone who made it their identity if I also don't agree with it - they'd take every argument personally.
When younger yes because i didn't start paying attention to politics until i was out of college. But now that i tune in about once a month lol, im very careful with who I choose to date. I hope he's someone who hardly pays attention to politics because they can ruin a relationship. And yes he needs to be a Christian as well. I’m baptist but hardly follow the baptist way so i dont really care what his denomination is
Religious agreement is important. A lot of women are very flexible on politics depending on who they're with. It's a thing. The main thing, is that if you're planning on a deep & serious relationship then her family's behavior and how close she is to them matters almost as much as her own character. If they suck & she's close to them it's bad news.
I couldn't really answer the poll as I choose not to have a view in either subject, so it's not a big issue but I don't particularly like people that have strong views to one side of the other with politics or religion, life is way to short for all that bollocks.
If you are looking for someone who has the same political views as yourself, you probably aren't looking for love.
I think three years went by before my fiancee and I even discussed anything political.
Religion - I'm a very casual Catholic and I'm not willing to change that for anyone so I'd rather be with someone who is religiously casual than very into it.
Politics - I don't mind if we don't vote the same but I want someone mature enough to admit that mistakes were made by both sides and be critical as to why they vote the way they do.
I dont mind pursuing someone who shares different views on both, however what i can't tolerate are easily lead gullible impulsive types. I also find that ones who base all of their knowledge on books are close-minded and think they are smart when they aren't. Having a good attitude towards different cultures, science, religions, and nature can go a long way to being a wonderful person.
I voted the last one. I need that same-ness of same religion and same general political outlook. I feel like differences would be hard for me and hard on a potential her. Not saying others cannot make it work but I know speaking only for myself that I prefer someone similar to me in most ways.
I can't deal with magical beliefs of any kind. In the US today what passes for conservative thought is neither conservative nor thoughtful.
I will never date anyone over religious and thinks one religion has all the answers & i will never date anyone who is a super liberal SJW hippy communist & thinks they know more about civil rights then the people who actually experience them or someone who is a super ignorant conservative who ignores most social issues and is partially racist and doesn't realize it or spends time watching the news to closely and being brainwashed by the media and more.

I think I can love someone and be friend with someone who have different political and religious views than I, because most of people wants good for the society in ways they see fit.
