A girl I had worked with for years knew all my problems I would vent to her and some friends I made at work. one day she asked me on a date I was kind of surprised but said yes. I've never been treated with so much kindness and respect and although we didn't continue to see each other I base a lot of my current relationships on being treated so well by her. Not so much romantic but she taught me another level of romance which I'll never forget
Definitely a generational thing dude, they expect us to be the “romantic ones” when in reality it should go both ways, cuz no homo your a good looking dude so it’s definitely just the women we’ve interacted with that think they’re above being romantic towards us.

I think you're right. Generational. And a certain level of entitlement.
I feel like I am always the giver, which often I do not mind but it gets exhausting and one-sided. And then if I stop, things go downhill in the relationship.
I would love to be with a romantic traditionally-minded woman to treat as or make my wife, but I don't see it happening. They're in short supply these days, at least where I am.

I have to agree with you. We women actually expect you men to jump through hoops for us because we were told that men must be worthy of us throughout our childhoods.

The first ones big gesture was to cook for me, everything you could think of and more in Polish cuisine was on the table and I ate a lot (the cheese was good and the cured meats but I really didn't like herring) and drank an awful lot of vodka then we ended up in bed together and luckily I wasn't sick from the motion and such involved
The second one offered to buy me a watch but I turned her down because it was too much money as she was more than willing to spend £5,000 and I couldn't get close to reciprocating such a grand gesture
I had a mental breakdown, I was under yoo much stress at the time and couldn't handle it and was just furious and angry the whole day, every little thing set me off.
I wanted to be alone, but my girlfriend (now my wife) came over, despite my saying please don't, and brought steak, bourbon and cigars. Sat with me outside as we ate sirloin, had bourbon and my favorite cigar. We sat and she just let me talk, and told me not to stop til it was all out.
Up til that point, no one has ever done that for me. She is a true partner, supportive and protective. There will be no others like her. That was the moment I knew she truly was the one.
One girl literally "gave herself to me" for a long weekend. She left her phone at home, told people she would be out of town and not to call, and just stayed with me the whole time. Yes, we had sex a lot, but we also made food together, watched movies together, talked, listened to music, and just relaxed and enjoyed each other's company. It's hard to imagine anything better.
I don't need gifts, I don't need trips, I just want to enjoy her in peace, and she understood that.
Running off together and spending a whole week together in her car and watching the sunrise and sunset everyday on the roof of her car with hands/fingers locked, talking, kissing, and her leaning over and resting her head on my shoulder. And actually we never had sex that whole time either... that somehow actually made it more special in some ways tbh. Didn't feel cheapened like that was the intention behind it because it wasn't.
On a night out for a meal with friends, my wife handed over a little wrapped present, inside were one blue and one pink booty.. her way of telling me she was pregnant.
She brought me a rose on valentine’s day 🥺 I didn’t think we were that serious and I hadn’t planned anything special. I felt so guilty but also amazing cause no girl ever did anything that romantic for me before. Was fighting back tears. Still am. Not at all fair to compare men putting out easy to women putting out easy. I resisted sex for months, she wanted it day 1. I showed more willpower than any man I’ve ever heard of in this situation. Men are not programmed to be selective about sexual partners, women have biological backing to exercise this restraint.
I’ve heard this argument before but never the study to back it up. Everyone just believes it to their detriment.
Tell me this (and please excuse the harshness of it); What do you think a chaste woman would think of you if you did find her? Would she choose you over another chaste man? Would she believe you wouldn’t cheat on her thinking “I’m a man so it’s harder for me than women to say no to pussy”?

Expecting to find a chaste woman in the life you’re living is futile. Adjust your life to your goals. Start only seeing women that share your values. Stop telling yourself it’s hard for men to say no. Stop tell yourself sex and chaste women are a scarce commodity.

Denying that it’s harder for men to say no is really annoying... it’s obvious and there is evolutionary precedent for this. First of all is difficult for a man to find sex where as a woman can get it any time. Second, men have less risk, there is no evolutionary reason for a man to ever turn down sex. For a woman however there is the risk if pregnancy and if the man leaves her and her baby die, that’s how it would work in the wild. I want a woman who has the equivalent willpower to me but the woman’s version. So if I can resist sex for 3 months, she should be able to go that at the very minimum, ideally longer like 6. I think that would be fair considering the biological difference. Yeah a virgin would be cool but I don’t think I’m entitled to that or anything, so please don’t put words in my mouth. I’ve only had 2 partners my entire life, I’m no slut and I’d like a woman with similar background.

And my random stranger on the internet's opinion is this; if you want to be with "exclusive" women (forget about the limitations of man here -- we all know not everyone in the world will become successful in life -- only the very determined and disciplined) you, yourself, need to become "exclusive" by only seeing women that share your values and try nofap to gain more control.

Me and this girl are exclusive, sexually at least, we have agreed on that and I trust her. I suppose you are right though... if I want what I claim I’m looking for, I wouldn’t be sleeping with this girl... at least not anymore. I came to work to find a beautifully wrapped and decorated present, filled with everything I loved. The present was a complete surprise and themed. some of my favorite jokes were taped to it. It was like a little reminder of how she saw me. Absolutely cute. The problem? She wasn't my wife.

Her handmade gifts on my birthday. We both are in a long distance relationship since 3 years. On my first bday, she sent me couple of letters in an envelope. It was a card and a crossword game where the hints were habits about me. Following that year she made an entire digital art of my face and a digital card that was way way way too cute. When we last met, she gifted me a scented candle and a very cute (little emotional) card.
She bought me the Dark Knight Blu ray collection with a love note for my birthday. Very thoughtful but the note went a bit far only been together for 6 months and she wrote she wants to have babies with me. Way too soon for that in my opinion.

While standing up, having sex from the rear, she turned her head to the side, reached back with both hands and cradled my head, and kissed me on the lips. I cannot ever remember such a 'romantic" thing in my life. It was very tender, and I think was more emotional than the sex we were having.
Very sad to say, that that romance did not last, as she was VERY, pretty but had an alcohol problem, that she did not try do deal with up until she had a serious car accident, and almost killed her young daughter. She called me from Florida, while I was still in Ohio, (ABOUT FIVE YEARS LATER!) to tell me what had happened. I was sad but flattered that she called me after that many years had passed.
Never had a girlfriend but I think what she could do to be romantic would to just watch a sun set on a beach in the west coast. Cuddle, watch movies , talk , communicate.

Honestly nothing comes to mind. Seems like it's always the men putting out the big time and energy to impress women, and all just to earn their confidence. Although I'll say its always super hot when a girl tries to initiate anything.
I was always the romantic one, never been with someone who cared enough or put enough effort into the relationship to really do anything like that for me.
The closest thing I can think of was a girl I was with wrote a poem for me, but neither the poem nor gesture was romantic in nature and was done as more of a thank you for someone I did.
It's not really something I care to remember since the girl I later found out had to force herself to feel anything towards me and was kind of in love with another guy while with me.
