Do you think when a couple separates both are responsible or just one of them?

Whether the separation was for cheating, financial issues, family issues, children issues.

Most of the opinions would normally say both are responsible in one part or the whole part, but then I wonder are both really responsible even if it takes 2 to tango? What if because of the actions of one of the partners is the reason for the other to separate and the other partner instead of trying to resolve things or fix things as adults between them, simply the partner simply do not want a solution. So are both responsible or just the one who simply dont want any solution for their separation, he/she just get distant without any fight to save the marriage.

Like I said it could be cheating, family issues, even financial issues are cause of separation.

Well in most cases if they're both responsible then they're going to stay friends and they both respect each other it will be there for each other if needed

But then you have the couple that has Grown Apart It's usually the female that it is growing and the male stops growing I want to sit on his ass all day and whine and complain
When she takes charge help herself and so she's not going to do it anymore that's when the person you're leaving behind because they didn't have balls enough to do something about it that's when the problem serves all the bitching and all the moaning all the headache

To keep a relationship successful you have to grow together it's communication and growing together
The Break-Up, occurs when one person keeps growing and the other person stops and becomes lazy and doesn't want to work I'm keeping things alive and beautiful

It can be both or just one. In my divorce, we both decided amicably to divorce, neither one of us was "at fault", we had just grown apart over the years and teh change was actually good for both of us.

If one partner cheats on the other, then that could rightly in divorce caused by one partner, although it could also be argued because the person cheated because there was something lacking from the other partner.

So, overall, I would say it takes two to get married, and two to get divorced.

mostly I think other than sexuality, changing, meaning sex drive, and maybe money matters, its a 50/50.
take friends of ours, when they first married, he bought hr a dress, jokingly she said I will have to do something for you, (again sexual) so they carried this joke for many years, but when the divorce came up, both cited this as one of the things that drove them apart,

But the person now seeing the fault really holds the key.

Sometimes it's both, sometimes one has behaved unacceptably and destroyed the relationship. I dated a woman whose husband became addicted to cocaine and lost his medical practice. She didn't have a lot of choice except to divorce him.

I'd say it depends. I am not responsible for my wife's actions. If there is a problem, it's on her to come to me with it. If she does, then its on me to fix it, if possible.

That all depends on the situation. However, You both entered into the partnership. Therefore, Both parties have to accept the responsibilities of the break - up / divorce.
