I have noticed this too. Way too many guys in their mid to late 30s that are single. I think it has to do with deterioration of social skills, texting too much, not going out to talk to people , staying over the internet instead of going outside to meet people. It is this along with high standards such as finding your āone true love or soulmate ā is what really ruins things. There is also lack of pressure to get married. Nowadays most of us no longer face the pressure to find someone. Itās an optional thing.
In past generations , vast majority of people tend to get married and have kids by 40.

there's no such thing as "the ultimate soulmate". Eventually when most people hit their mid to late 30s or even early 40s, they end up settling for someone. if you're gonna constantly wait out for the right one, you will just be single forever. Not everyone meets their ultimate soul mate in life. its something that you learn as you get older. Life is unfair. You're gonna eventually have to pick between settling for someone Versus being alone forever.
high standards is what it is.
but by 49, you're wayy past marriage prime. you should've figured it out 10 years ago.
@shaysh87 Oh no, I have done the "settling" thing before and doing that is a horrible thing to do. I don't need the perfect 10 or the perfect woman. All I need is a cutie that has what I'm looking for and for me to be what she is looking for. I first have to stop letting opportunities pass me by... I have done too much of that.
@chulo1992
Do you know the reason why so many youngsters break up in their 20s, but then when they hit 30s, suddenly 90% of everyone in your social circle is getting married or having babies? Because they are settling. 30s is not the magical age where everyone finds their soulmates and falls in love with the right person. Its the fact that people no longer can afford to break up with their girlfriends when they hit a certain point in life.
@chulo1992
Its better to give it a try than to doom yourself to a life dying alone. I've never had a married person recommend that I stay single, childless, unmarried forever. Its a very lonely existence. And dating does not tend to get better as you get older.
@chulo1992
I've never had any married person advise that its good to die alone. Its typically all the single people who say its good to be alone forever.
But the reality is , when married people hit 60, they have a huge family: sons, daughters, grand daughters, son in laws coming back home to visit them for Thanksgiving / Christmas. They have people to watch out for them as they grow older. If they are in financial trouble, they have their children to help them out. They're surrounded by people who love them.
On the other hand, life is very different as a completely single person with no family he can rely on. If he needs help, nobody really cares. There are a lot of single people who don't even celebrate Thanksgiving or Christmas because they don't have close family around or family who invite them. They watch huge families who love each other eat at restaurants while they eat all alone.
Unless having a family is something that you really do not want, I wouldn't advise being single forever.
Nothing wrong with it. I don't judge. Perhaps that gentleman's priorities are different. Maybe he doesn't want a relationship.
Perhaps he is so consumed with a career, he finds it unfair that he can't dedicate the appropriate amount of effort towards a relationship.
Any number of reason could be why. Best not to judge.
Not judge is a language my mom doesn't understand. š
Lol so many people don't speak that language to be honest. If we could all learn just a little bit of that, would be a better place. š
Right, look at all jeff bezoz kids they're like super young. I think he had them late
Elon musk too
I wish it was that easy just to go out and "get a girlfriend" Dating these days is hell and trying to find the right woman is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. The biggest problem I keep hearing single men complaining about is that women prefer dating bad boys because they are exciting and keeps them on their toes and the good guys are predictable and boring.
Just amass as much resources as possible. Get a house if you can. Bet your value increases. Women love a man who can make them laugh. 💪

I think he's just someone who hasn't met the right person, yet. 😅
I just think that no need to rush things you will meet the right woman at the right time. I had friends that had rush to get married just to please their parents now their all divorce. I say it is good that you are taking your time and choosing wisely. People aren't always as they seem on dates . In fact now a days it is normal for people in their 30's to still be unmarried and single. In my opinion I say it is good that you are taking your time. Do you get into disagreements with your mom? How does this whole get married girlfriend conversation even start?
She just doesn't want to see me single.
I think you just haven't met your person yet. As far as your moms desire for you to settle down with someone, it's probably because she wants grandchildren. Or maybe she feels you aren't happy and lonely. Regardless she loves you and thinks you'd be happier with a love.
Honestly, I would either think he came out of a marriage/serious relationship, was career oriented, or played the field a lot in his younger years.
But really it doesnāt matter. You canāt force yourself into relationships that donāt work for you. So just try to ignore your mom (which is easier said than done especially in Hispanic households lol).
I donāt think about it. Honestly, I donāt think there is an age limit or a timeframe for someone to find a person that they want to spend their life with. It happens when it happens and not before. But I definitely get the feeling that your mom is looking for grandchildren.
Well as long you ain't gonna fight the mafia and get killed in the process, don't want it so fast. I'd think you MIGHT be someone who will put up with me. If not, don't catch corona and keep living, my guy.
I understand your momās thought on one handā I would worry about my son/daughter being lonely.
As for what I thinkā I just think you may not have found the right person yet or that youāre focused on a career, or just focused on you.
I don't judge everyone has their struggles we don't know if someone broke their heart and that's why they are single. You never know and honestly no one should care, the right person will come along you just have to recognize it and act on it
I thought you had a little girl? Anyways, your mom needs to understand thay it's not like she was growing up. Nothing out here.
*that
Talking about marriage and Relationship concerning me with my mom.
I know what you're saying. I'm saying times have changed. It's not like it was when she grew up. Marriage isn't valued these days
What would you think if you saw a man my age that is single and not married? Be 100% honest.
I wouldn't judge, as mentioned look at the times we're living in. the Bible is really revealing itself. " people will become lovers of themselves ". There is literally nothing out here
Majority of these people are mentally unstable. Look at the folks on gag imagine these nutcase walking around in real life
Ok.. š
š¤£š¤£ I'm happily single now going on a year. It's so peaceful these folks are real fruit loops out here
I don't think much of it at all, I probably wouldn't even notice unless someone like you pointed out that he is still single and not married.
I wouldn't really think about it, it is your business so why does it matter to me?
That is the majority of my thoughts on things like this
Most women wonāt think much of it. Thereās nothing wrong with being single.
Quit thinkin about it... me personally i look. at it as, at 40, she ain't came around by now, she mise well not come around at all, being there ain't much time left in life.. no point in showin up when theirs not really much left for time
Why should anyone care?
Tell your mom to stay outta your business. Itās your life, not our life.
