If one devoted their entire life to another person and lived only for them, would you consider that a good/noble choice or a bad/foolish choice?

If someone's entire existence and reason for living was to serve ONE PERSON and one person alone (not any religious deities or higher powers; just one human being), how would you feel about that? Would you have a positive reaction to that or a negative reaction to that? Or do you just not care? Please explain your reasoning.
Devoting one's entire existence to another person would be a good decision, in my opinion.

For me, I can see the allure of wanting to bring happiness and joy into someone's life that you deeply love, I don't think it would lead to a good existence, at the end of one's life. I think they'd regret being a servant to others, but that's just my two cents.
