What to text someone we used to flirt and who has deleted my number?

It's been 2 months we haven't talked. We didn't have an argument.. it's just that recently we used to text less than ever. He was so busy because he was in the military service and was soldier at the same time. He used to say that he likes me. This flirt thing lasted for a month. We never met face to face cause he was in another country. Anyway, we didn't text for a week and after a week I saw that his profile picture on Whatsapp is gone and also he didn't see my Status. What do you think is appropriate to text him after these 2 months. I dont wanna seem desprate either.

You could always reach out and say "Hey, this is __________. I was just remember some of our conversations and thought I'd reach out. Hope to hear back when you have a chance."

Something similar to that. I think that is the best you can do and hope he responds.

If he deleted everything, it's basically ghosting you. You shouldn't contact him unless he does first.

I kind of made him think that friendship with me feels like too much work, maybe he felt like a chore on his to-do list, or that it is mostly him who is doing all the communicating.. because it was mostly him who called me and even once I told him why you dont text as before anymore! Which now i realise was wrong.. i regret a lot

Unfortunately he probably already formed an opinion that you wanted attention and weren't really interested, so he ghosted. You can try to reconnect and give it another shot, maybe it's different and he'll reconsider, but this time, you'd be pursuing him.
