This guy and I have been flirting for months. He is clearly interested in me. I’m clearly interested in him. We tell each other everything. In class, we stare at each other, smile at each other, etc. We talk for hours face to face. He even invited me to move with him. We’re both really shy, which makes things hard.
He initiates conversations in public, I initiate conversations over text.
I’ll text him, he’ll respond right away, but the conversation will always end with him leaving me on read. It’s getting hard to constantly think of conversation starters.
He has a rough home life. He lives with his grandfather, and is his main caretaker. He always has a crazy job.
He is constantly telling me “I feel very lucky to have met you in life”, or “I’ve never felt so close and comfortable with someone”
When we DO text, it’s great. He tells me about his day. He sends me pics of him and his dogs. He uses tons of emoji, and flirty messages. We talk on the phone too. When we first met each other, he said his previous girlfriend dumped him because he would never respond to her texts, and would always forget to call back…
But he is always leaving me on read. I think he gets nervous, or maybe he thinks he’s bugging me?
What can I do? I don’t have to talk to him everyday, but at least once or twice a week.
What can I do differently? We clearly have feelings for each other
