Shouldn't the guy I’m seeing be the one planning things for my birthday?

I’ve been seeing this guy for 10 months now. It’s my birthday tomorrow I’m 21, and I just feel as though I’m really planning things, like it’s me who’s planning to see him and came up with the plan and me who’s booking the hotel and me who’s making the whole plan. I’m really upset and it’s ruining my birthday. Am I wrong for being upset since it’s MY birthday? Shouldn’t he be the one planning things and going halves for paying where he’s making me pay for it all? I mean I get it was my plan but a offer would be nice? He’s making me feel like he dosent even want me and just wants sex since he hasn’t even took me on a date yet.

You’re an adult. People no longer care if it’s your birthday. He may buy you a present or some cake, but if you want to do anything special, that’s on you to decide. Plus, have you told him that you’d like to celebrate? Some people just don’t like celebrating, so maybe he isn’t aware of What you want and you are getting upset because he can’t read your mind…
