I feel nowadays the opposite genders are playing chess with each other, is this true?

Instead of actually helping each other, enjoying their differences... all they want is either sex and lovebombing (male strategy) or monetary incentive and baby trapping (female strategy).

The opposite genders only looking after themselves, playing chess with each other and all the benefit is only for themselves instead of a compromise being reached, neither of them taking advantage of the other and both being happy.

Just like there is no benefit for us in giving away sex too early and investing time with a man without ever getting commitment and a family (our youthful years is the potential product that had to be used wisely), I can also understand there is little to no benefit if a man invest too much and the girl is mean enough to take over his money (their stability and being able to provide is the potential produce that had to be used wisely).

I feel that in this modern dating and relationship world, men and women are basically playing chess with each other... and one of them gets to say checkmate. Is this true?

In the end that makes misery. There is no real happiness if only one person is benefitting and not the other. In an ideal world, both should be benefitting and be happy.

It can be that way, except that I really do fall in love with women it isn't just fake. However I try not to get rich (Which is surprisingly easy). I don't want to attract women looking for my money, and I always took great pride in being able to have girlfriends while working low paying jobs. That was my game. Get her to love me just for me.
It's tricky, but worth it.

All good things come to an end though.
I was married, I raised a child, but eventually some people change and drift apart.
I used to be angry that my marriage didn't last forever until I saw an old married couple arguing in the parking lot the other day. They both looked miserable and probably aren't even attracted to each other anymore.

Then what would be the point for me to be in a relationship that will end in a couple years? I don't like the idea of throwing the L word just for the sake of it, only for it all to be over. I don't like dating around for years, and changing and changing people. I imagine being exhausted at some point.
Ideally I would like a life companion that I can age with, where I can love beyond looks and passion.

On second thought I take that back. I did want to grow old together with her because I get attached and she would always be cute to me.
I think I was just trying to look for the positives of being divorced. I would never have to see her suffer or be in the hospital etc.
Ideally love would last forever.

Now days as in opposed to what? Women been sold, and used as you must date whomever your parents say, and that if you didn't marry a guy there wouldn't be enough money to sustain yourself leaving many to stay in abusive relationships, and women literally couldn't own property.

yes and now certain women have overdone it with the divorcing for monetary incentives, turning more men against marriage and kids. Neither extremes are good.
Why can things have a middle ground and both genders benefiting?

and more men are lovebombing, future faking gfs, keeping them as another forever girlfriend... not giving commitment, using her prime years against her...
And some young girls are catching up to the ''living-in together'' forever girlfriend phenomenon and are opting for waiting till marriage; they are already seeing the game and aren't falling for it. Then a couple of those girls are going after monetary incentives.

Many people are losing at this war. It's making more miserable.

The gender divide and hatred we are seeing today is the backlash of decades of feminist hatred and disrespect toward males. The so called manosphere is the inevitable outcome of all of that, and now the hate is just continuing to escalate on both sides. It's sad.

Not playing at all would be not playing (not even using your advantage against the person) overall and choosing to be single and dateless, not even dating. At least no one's feelings are hurt nor time wasted.

Or maybe they should start as friends during their younger years (when both are innocent children) and help each other. Japan is a great culture where they do that. There is no monetary incentive over there and it's more than just seeking sex from woman and money from man. People at least respect each other there.
