Polygamous marriages just cause people to be unhappy.

I think this is pretty much true. Somebody is always getting the short end of the stick. And, usually one person is simply settling for the arrangement—being “open” to the idea or “supportive” or “accepting” but not entirely enthusiastic.

Just look at the duggars. The husband jwants monogamy now. He just wants him and one of the women he's really close to. He's tired of the other ones.

Monogamy all the way. Today society normalized a lot of different things. Including non-monogamy. It’s such an obvious and self explanatory thing for me. I believe that i was raised with a right look at this life and i am very concerned for this new generation but also my generation. I’m almost 23 but i’m still under this category of people that are considered this younger generation. I deeply hate everything about it that is being normalized. i feel no shame talking about it because i’m strong in my beliefs.

Monogamy is better bc you get to build a meaningful connection with another person that satisfies deep primal needs within both people.

I agree.

If the quality and depth of a connection is important to someone, then monogamy is the best path for facilitating that. Fulfilling relationships take a lot of time and energy to nurture and cultivate. Multiple romantic partners would mean less 1-on-1 intimacy, which would result in weaker bonds.

Non-monogamy seems like a pursuit of quantity over quality.
