For me, I used to third-wheel two of my best friends in high school who liked each other but were too shy to admit it to one another. When they finally did and became official, I was happy for them, but they insisted I tag along with them to their dates and hangouts so that their parents wouldn't get suspicious of them hanging out alone and it was.. annoying and weird, to say the least.

Background info: My husband and I met in middle school and dated in high school and college.

I had a roommate in college who had this compulsive need to be in a relationship and she was really into the whole Tinder thing. But she was too scared to meet these guys in person alone. So I went with her on more than one occasion but she said I wasn't allowed to wear makeup, dress decent, do my hair, or talk 😂

But she was also too scared to talk to them so inevitably I'd have to start their conversation for them 😂 but if the guy and I got on better than the guy and my friend did then she'd get mad at me 😂😂😂😂😂

We did a double date (all of us are friends, but not main group of friends), which should've worked out well - instead, the girl my friend likes... like me. :

So to cut it short -

We are still friends.

Nothing happened with my friend and this girl.

Nothing happened with me and that girl, neither did the other girl she brought for a double date.

We got on with our lives - a bit awkward for a few weeks if I remember.

I did some third wheeling with my buddy and his last girlfriend it normally involved me and her tag teaming him and making fun of and teasing him and me drinking lol. And just having the time of my life.

Well now that I think about it, it wasn't really third wheeling because me and him made plans and then he'd just invite her along so really she was the third wheel. But she was cool so I didn't mind.

I've done it in the past but it's kinda uncomfortable so I would avoid it now. Did mostly for my sister when guys she didn't like asked her out, but overall they were just few times

I did for my best friend. She then got married to that guy. 7 years later, she tried to use me as her third-wheel again with a guy that wasn’t her husband. I broke my friendship with her because I didn’t agree.
