Girlfriend lied about being in contact with her old friends with benefits, how do I deal with it?

Before me and my girlfriend got together, she told me she had a friends with benefits. I told her that if it was me, I would cut contact, because that is what I feel is right before going into a relationship. She told me that she "did not talk to him anymore" and I took that.

Fast foward 1.5 years, and I found out that she was still snapping with him and even invited him to a party where I was. I didn't find out that it was him until 2 months after that party.

I feel lied to and not sure how to act on that. What are your thoughts?

She’s lied to you and disrespected your relationship. If she was honest with you and really wanted to be friends with him she should’ve made that clear from the very start and then you could’ve decided if you wanted to remain in the relationship or not. For someone to keep up a lie for 1.5 years and invite him to a party you were at and not tell you is super manipulative and disrespectful. It makes you wonder what else she’s lied about. If you really want the relationship to work then you can try and get through it but for me personally - I would leave; all trust would be broken and be nearly impossible to rebuild.

you're right. she did lie to you. completely shattered your trust also. you need to talk this out with her. she's disregarding your feelings and disrespecting your relationship. if the roles were reversed, i'm sure she wouldn't feel so good about being your place either.
