I put this in the relationships category because it fit the best. It applies to relationships but also to everything we do in our lives - school, work, athletics, friendships, family, ...

mostly agree with it, perhaps... I would say bittersweet rather than sad, and then I'm thinking about my relationships...

especially with my very first one, which was at the start of high-school and when I was 16 years old... to say that I was scared would not do, lol, wary, afraid, scared, terrified at times, anxious, just the thought of really and truly and actually opening myself to someone, and to someone who deeply cared for me and was about to see ALL of me, which were the things that for over a decade, I never ever allowed anybody to witness

and that was me and all of my demons to face, well that I had already faced, and that I was still learning to tame and to seal away, I did not want to expose her to any of that, none of that, not so closely but I eventually did and then yes, all the in-between was more than worth, it did change my life dramatically and all for the best, if it had not been for our young love we had together I would not be any way near to the man, and the person I am today, that's for sure sure

but we grew up though, we did grow up together, we did conquer life young together and the challenges that do come up with it so we did change, dramatically... and that, brought up the bittersweet part, we didn't grow apart, but we did became complete in our own, rather that completing each other, we were both our better halves, but we were still halves on our own, so we did take that decision together, we would go different paths to further find ourselves as individuals and keep growing as such, and that was really sad at first but just at first, it quickly turned to bittersweet because we just knew it would be for the best, and we were also very sure that we would remain the great friends we were at first, that we always were, and we're still today

and, after living that experience... now I embrace any fear I might feel at any start, because I know very well that I will be all-in for that, the in-between and all the great there is about it

For sure 100%, the first step to something is always scary but once you start going ur wondering what you were cared of in the first place and when it ends and you have to move on its pretty sad.

Right? It can be fun and exciting to experience new things. And when that chapter in your life ends, there is a sad sense of loss, but also gratitude for the experiences.

I think it’s reverse for me bc I expect stuff to end in the beginning and I keep myself in check so it’s hard to be present and at the end I’m afraid of hurting people
