How do you personally know when you've fallen for someone?

I just realized that I could spend forever contemplating what love is or what it means to love someone, but I have discovered a fool-proof way for myself to be certain that I'm in love 🙈

I can't make eye contact with people. It's always been an issue for me from childhood and while I can occasionally talk like normal on the outside by forcing myself to make eye contact, it's just not in my nature. However, if I'm in love with a guy I have no trouble making eye contact with him. In fact I have to keep myself from looking in his eyes too much.

I know im in love when it hurts. You see, love is sacrifice. Its putting someone elses needs before your own. Sacrifice is never easy.

Im not talking about the usual favors or inconveniences. Im talking about those moments that make you feel there's a knot in your throat, or your chest is being torn in two. You put yourself through that, for another person, you know you LOVE them.

That is a brilliant way of discovering that! It takes knowing yourself well, and being a careful observer.
As for me, I don't know. I can tend to think too much, or let my thoughts override my feelings. Cover them up or rationalize them away, so I don't know what they originally were. And I've wondered what being in love would feel like. I don't even know if I would recognize it if I were. Most likely, I will discover that I have been in love for a while without ever noticing the process

I've never known. And I have had so much misery in the romance department, that I'm done trying to KNOW if I've fallen for someone. Just pursue what you want and what makes your life better (not just happier), and if it's good, it'll continue. If not, it'll end.

I don't allow myself to fall for women anymore. Because I always assume if she acting interested in me she she's setting me up for something which invariably she is. And love? I've never been in love.

But it isn't very hard for me to tell when I like a woman.
