How much time does it take to trust someone or your futur partner?

Do you test people before trusting them? When and how do you eventually trust someone? Or do you pretty much instantly ‘feel’ like you can trust someone?

It is constant testing set against expectation or past record. At some point, one decides, “it’s mostly good and for me”-At this point, “crap happens”…and you roll with it. Timing is unknown and personal decision.

and that does not ensure trust, it only feeds insecurity and paranoia

I wouldn't but I think people test each other unconsciously. They’re careful at first, and after a series of events that reassure them they can trust more it’s natural… but not everyone is equal on that front probably

yes, I get that... but that is not testing people

that is taking the time to actually know someone, which yes... I always do

getting to know one another takes time and it should be a gradual thing, and on that process is when and where would build up that trust, that is for sure

to me personally, trust is the most natural thing... whether I will feel it or not and from the very first moments, BUT I make sure that I find the reasurrance that it is a genuine one, and it will remain as constant and as natural as it felt from the very first moments, I do not just go 100% into it right away, lol

I can't say exactly a time. Depending on the person, my time to trust varies.

Depends there's no real time limit it's just whenever that trust is earned and no I don't do trust tests, I find that kind of stuff manipulative.

I wouldn't set up test for people lol but that’s just how trust works with anything. Even trust in yourself you need to test yourself to trust your capabilities or it’s just thin air. Relationships always get tested and you never know until it happens

I disagree you don't need to put up tests to earn trust.

Trust can come naturally overtime just through experience and natural choices.

I would say for me between two and half or three years

It's how I look at my friendships with in a year me and my friend went to movies hung out with in the second year we did the same but some slight things changed by the third year we should up at each other's places uninvited and what ever the other person had going on that day we would do with them. Either help them out keep them company and or talk that's how we built out level In trust in one another

That really depends on her. Trust is EARNED. And if she routinely causes me to question that trust it'll take a long time, and I'll most likely just end it after too long.

Depends on the relationship but after the background check and the private investigator and the spyware on her phone and the AirTag on her car…I’ll feel pretty confident in about a month.
