Does the type of relationship we have with our parents affect our romantic relationships?

One would think how we engage with our parents will reflect how we engage with both other males and females. They say guys will marry their Moms. My Mother has met my girl and they know each other well without having to say much. I think I am dating my Mom personality and values. It is kind of strange but makes sense that one is drawn to the people they have been around the most.
This is why it is important who one's friend are as that is how they too will behave and be.
I would say so honestly. I have had a lot of relationship with people who have had broken childhoods. And there are a lot of parallels between those types of relationship in comprehension to others.

Most significantly constrain the slightest of choices - even though they are also human and largely clueless. Many are gross and disgusting but faking being authority and 'knowing'.
Yes, because your parents are your primary model for what a relationship is. If they have an unhealthy relationship you're more likely to have one as well.
