Can your landlord kick you out for a noise complaints?

Our landlord has received many complaints from our neighbour that we been making a lot of noises especially at night and he told my mom that we had 2 weeks to leave the house, is it possible, we live in Montreal (Canada)?

Technically a rent contract can be terminated at will by either party and the reason behind it would matter little. Same story with employment contracts. Whether it is believable or not is a whole matter on it's own.
