I would imagine if you still harbored feelings for your ex while in a new relationship it would start to show in their daily lives. They would probably act differently or be distant and bordering indifferent and complacent about the relationship as a whole. Checked out, in a way.

In shirt, yes. You should break up with your current relationship because at the end of the day it is only creating greater personal conflict for the one with the ex and it will lead to confusion and hurt the longer they let it go on.

So, yes, they deserve to know... so they can dump-your-ass for not being ready to be in a relationship with them. Being in love with your ex, and entering into a relationship with someone oblivious to that fact is inexcusable. It's wrong, and unjustifiable in 100% of cases. It's a clearly shitty thing to do.
