What are the factors that men consider to seriously date a girl?

It's been 4 years since I've become single. I have dedicated my time to work and day to day life. I am wondering how to start dating again, what do men consider and where can I find men who wants to be in a serious relationship. It may sound needy or desperate, sorry. Just very curious.

The first step is to discover yourself. Get involved with activities related to your interests. Do volunteer work or join a group that promotes your interests. Take on a role of responsibility, so people can see you in action. Focus on the project rather than focus on finding the right person for you. Someone will rise out of the crowd.

Men want to see you're into more than just yourself. They want to see how you interact with others and consider the thoughts and feelings of others. They want to see your capabilities, not just hear you declare what they are. Quality guys want to know you're more than just a pretty face or body.

In my book, as long as you aren't passive aggressive, and what you do matches up with what you say, that makes a solid basis towards a relationship. Women control access to sex in the first place, so all I can consider before then is if there is surface attractiveness and approach women until I get in their pants, then see if those two conditions are met to see where things go.

I can't be with someone I can't trust, or who can't express themselves.

Well, you can only start simple, especially if it has been a while, and that's a simple criteria to hold men and women to. It's good to hold the people close to you to that criteria.

You have a good point. I wanted to start simple since I have forgot how it feels to date. I will take it slowly simply to assess if I am ready (i think i am) or if the person im going to date is a good one for me.

Yours is a difficult question to answer. I find, after my divorce, that I am NOT NEEDY in any sense of the word, but would also like to find a person that would like to be in a serious relationship.
You don't sound needy nor desperate, simply just like the rest of us that are single, after a divorce, and wonder how to start over again.
First off, I consider if a person is comfortable with herself, living alone.
Secondly if she is working and can, for the most part, manage her financial needs.
Does she have children and can I, could I, be comfortable in that position, and will I 'fit in/ in that environment.
