My boyfriend has tried to persuade me to get a cervical screening test, feel my boundaries are being pushed?

I’ve been having issues with my boyfriend disclosing way too much about our personal life to his family. He told me that his mother and sister have the screening. He told me he asked them how far the tool went up etc. He has tried to persuade me more than once to get one.

I have a strong suspicion that he has discussed me not getting one with his mother and sister. After which, I think he must have come to me to try to persuade me to get one.

I get the cervical screening is good, but I feel like telling my boyfriend to stop trying to tell me what to do with my own vagina, and sharing with his family my personal health affairs. Am I overreacting here?

Forget all of that , believe me , its a test you MUST have , be open about these things don't try and make it a mystery , just go get tested , no offence but its attitudes like yours that holds women back , testing regularly is a MUST.

Tell him to stop disclosing your body and your personal issues with his family. As for the test, if you are having sex, it is best to have the test done as it can detect cancer.
