My boyfriend is ridiculous he never apologizes for his mistakes?

The title explains it but my boyfriend is absolutely ridiculous he would soooo be in the wrong but he would NEVER apologize or acknowledge he is wrong. He’d rather gift me expensive things to compensate rather than say a simple sorry. He made a huge mistake all i was expecting was a sorry. He said it to me “I won’t apolgize” so i said fine don’t apologize and just stopped talking to him and i told him I won’t take the disrespect. He said i am being “dramatic” and decided to gift me a super expensive bag rather than just saying a sorry. I did not take the bag to let him know he can’t avoid accountability by gifting me expensive things. He said idc just take it and burn it or whatever. I said gift it to your mom or sister and don’t speak to me until you grow up. Why would he behave in this way and not just apologize?

It doesn't matter "why" because having an answer to that question will NOT allow you to change his behavior, and understanding it will not make it more tolerable. Girls always want to change guys and they learn, the hard way, that they can't. Accept him as he is or say goodbye and move on.
