Colleague playing mind games with me. So much time has passed and they haven't made a move, so it seems less and less genuine now: how to stop it?

Anonymous

(I never want to play mind games and am not putting up with bread crumbing so I want this to end, even if there might be actual feelings here (possibly from both ends, but it seems his end is either turning or is revealing something toxic at his end).)

How to put a stop to this without actually being dramatic and having a discussion about it (as it's a work situation and we will still have to see each other often)?

My plan is just to keep being professional, but pull myself back whenever I can (i. e., give as less attention to him as possible, as it seems to feed his ego).

I just want it to end in a very subtle, but poignant manner. Thank you for your help, everyone!
