Would you let your girlfriend/boyfriend go to a festival with their friend?

I recently went to download festival this Friday with my friend, I have a partner and he was completely fine with it, unfortunately he doesn't like festivals or I would've loved for him to come.

I kept him updated, drank a bit but safely, lathered up in suncream and had a great time.

However, I know some people that are really controlling, and their partner would never let them do this. In my opinion, if you're afraid it would be a way for them to cheat then 1. You already have an issue with trust in your partnership, and 2. a bad person is going to end up doing a bad thing no matter how much you control them.

In my opnion I wouldn't date someone that tells me if I can go to a concert or festival or not.

"Controlling" -- If a guy has to risk his life to protect you and feels obligated to protect you then it's not unreasonable for him to expect you not to do dangerous things. Friction can come up if he thinks something is dangerous and you don't. That said, you're also not married. My guess is you're not compatible. Instead of complaining you're free to find dudes who don't actually care about what you do, who you're with... how dangerous your life is and so on.

I would, just bc I don't do crowded festivals doesn't mean for me to keep my partner from going with friends. It's not my place to make somebodys choices for them. Cheers 🍁

Yeap for sure my boyfriend even went on vacation this week. I don't know why do people restrict their partners actions.
