What do you think about my girlfriend wearing this dress to a wedding? Am I right to support her?

So I am 30M dating my 24F girlfriend and she is honestly the best thing to ever happen to me. She is super sweet and always dresses super modest. Her friend’s wedding is coming up and she showed me the dress she wants to wear and it is a little show-y. She admitted that it’s a “risqué” dress and she knows that people will be talking about her in it, but she said she is going look good, feel sexy, and will really have a good time in it. When thinking about her in it, I am honestly excited and can’t wait to be seen with her on the dance floor in it and think she is going to look sexy as hell! Was hyping her up about it wrong to do and totally supporting her decision? What do you think of the dress?

You don't have to support anything that you don't feel like supporting. If you don't like it, say something and move on. It's her body and her choice, in the end, but it's also your life and your boundaries. If you don't want to spend your life with a woman that shows her intimate parts to other dudes, then don't. If it's not that big of a deal to you, then move on. But ultimately, you have no obligation to fake support something that you don't like. She's not a toddler that needs encouragement.

These are not the actions that I see as anything worthy of celebration. To me, a woman's body is for her mans eyes only. You don't know what you're supporting and are missing the true message behind what she is wanting to do. Modesty, mutual respect, and emotional and social intelligence... nothing sexier. In this culture, so many women are having their boobs on display, showing skin, bouncing around, twerking and showing off... and your girlfriend thinks it is some how special? And you are supporting it? it's a cliche. Modesty and respect... that would be refreshing and worthy of full support!

I understand wanting to dress up and look sexy, especially if you don't get to do it that often, but I personally think it's a little skimpy for a wedding. If a lot of the women will be dressed like that then it's not as big of a deal, but if she's gonna stand out because of it, it's generally considered tacky to try to take attention away from the bride.
But it's seems that both of you guys are happy with it so I wouldn't be too concerned about what us strangers have to say about it.
