Should I go to a party knowing that a girl I still have feelings for will attend?

A girl I was in a situationship with will attend a company party which I have also been invited to by 3 people but I am very reluctant to go knowing that it is going to affect me.

Personally, I would go. Present yourself as best as you can, and talk to her, now I've never had problems with this, but if you do, some advice would be that talking to girls is pretty much the same as other guys, you just have to talk about other stuff, like your lives. Oh, also, make sure to do more listening, because people like to be paid attention to. Now, if you feel like it will break you, just remember that you can do this. Lastly, if possible, get her drunk. This is a girl i dated and we had a lot of feelings towards one another but cause it got super complicated she treated me badly and got mad for things i didn't do. Long story super short. And I don't want to confront her because i know it'll affect me seeing that i still have feelings for her
