She went on about how he's in the military and will get out soon. How she went to their concert and it was packed. blah blah blah like a little teenage girl with a superstar crush and hysteria though she's near 25.

I told her she shouldn't speak that way because she has a boyfriend, me. But she talks about BTS a lot. She's obviously kidding but should I be angry. Personally I don't get superstar crushes and could care less about female entertainers romantically or sexually so I don't get it.

Isn't that objectifying a person as you don't even know them.

If the dude's already a battle thrall, he's already seen as an object; she probably figures he's okay with it.

What's more important is her treatment of YOU. Yes, she almost certainly means what she says as a joke, but if you make it clear that it bothers you and ask her to stop, and she doesn't, then you've got a problem.
