Is "once an abuser always an abuser" true? Do people who abuse you ever change though they tell you that they love you more than anything?

Honestly for a real and true abuser... I mean it's probably true that they really love you on some level, more than anything... but it's also true they are only saying that to buy time to accustom you to their abuse, and to get you to accept it on some level.

Yes, people change over time, but a lot of abusers do not ever and truly even understand why or how, their behavior is abusive.

They never change , the only reason they tell you that stuff is because abuse is all about control and their desire is to control , sexual abuse , physical abuse , all about controlling an individual , they invade your life. They never change , it only gets worse.

For me, it's just easier to adhere to that rule. There's enough normal, non-abusive people out there that I can always meet non-absuers.

My mother certainly fits that. She's abusive and so dedicated to it she has fired every therapist she's worked with. The ones she didn't fire, fired her because she identified abusive behaviours but refused to change them.

It usually stays the same. I would never give an abuser a second chance. It's common sense that abusing isn't right. They're adults. They still choose to abuse you? Don't give them a second chance.

Idd. I believe however that there are exceptions to the rule, but I will NEVER be the one to wait that out.

I know a couple guys like this one guy got put in jail for quite a while and to this day he still doing it and why she puts up with it I don't know I don't get that part of it that is not love that is sick is what it is
