Have you ever broken up or stopped dating someone out of a fear of them leaving you?

I mean where you leave someone because you fear them leaving you. So you break up before they do it to you. The could otherwise be the perfect partner for you but you leave before they possibly see too many flaws in you and causing you to leave them before that ever possibly happens.

I've broken up with someone because I suspected they cheated on me or was seriously considering "letting something play out". I never took the time to "find proof" because finding proof wasn't going to get me the relationship I wanted. There were other faults in the relationship and at that point it wasn't worth my energy.

I don't deserve to worry about being cheated on and I deserve a relationship that Im proud to show off. I cut him off, he had his fun for a month and then he grovelled to come back like the rest of them when the other girl was no longer interested. I told him to stay lost and he blocked me on everything until some 2 years later out of the blue he via text another apology that also wasn't worth my time.

The last guy I talked to I ended up rejecting him first, and it was because I saw behaviors of him not being so interested but stringing me along for some reason instead of being honest, so I beat him to the chase

I’ve wanted to. That was because intuitively I knew they were deceptive and later on it ended up being true but I stuck around out of loving said person a lot. I know I would be okay if a person left me, I’m not cool with betrayal and leaving me though. Just leave and make things simple and have respect for someone that does care about you even if you don’t want to be with them.
