Do you find yourself mirroring everyone or only people you like as friends or fancy them?
Wow such a time appropriate question, and i do hope that what i have very recently discovered regarding this type of behaviour pattern may be of help to some... stronger in females due to lack of diagnosis in the realm of adhd and autism, mirroring is a form of masking... and as females are more empathetic and intuitive by nature this is a way of coping with the world... women need for social interaction so it makes sense they adapt to fit in, mostly without even realising... to me without adhd or autism females will still act this way... to some extent... i questioned myself recently on this, in particular looking back at relationships and i can definitely see where my masking can be very detrimental to my own welfare! still learning here lol

I mirror people to fit in. Not because I like them. I subconsciously mirror everyone that I have to interact with. Usually I don’t even realise I’m doing it until afterwards when I’m alone again, and I think “why the hell did I act like a completely different person around them?”. It makes group socialising very difficult for me, there’s so many people to try to mirror at once.
I tend to do stuff to see if someone is watching, if you check your watch and then they do, it’s a fair chance they were watching you. It’s fun to do when chatting to someone, randomly touch your hair, then watch them start mirroring you. Does it mean they fancy you, it can or they just feel comfortable with you or can’t help mirroring you,
I'll mirror a girl who I think is fancy. Yesterday in the waiting room of the Hospital after my Lab work I was waiting for my ride home and I saw this girl and our eyes met with each other and she was so dam sexy omg wow!!!

I don't "mirror" peoples actions, but I do mirror peoples behaviour and words they use. Especially on text, I always catch myself doing it but I cannot help it because I want them to like me lol!
Well I’ve got bpd so I mirror everyone regardless 😒
Funny, I even do it at meals sometimes. One day I realized I have a friend who always eats their fries first…
did you ask him out yet...
