Well we've been together for nearly 3 years now but it started as a dare my cousin and I would do. It's about dating for a bet, collect 50 bucks and then ditching the person.
I canceled the dare when I started catching feelings. This obviously will never be revealed because only my cousin knows it, she's never going to tell and she stopped playing that game too.
Does it matter if it became real in the end? I don't plan on ever mentioning about it though.

I think certain things are better left never told. If I was on the receiving end, as long as it's real in the end, no I wouldn't want to know about it.

Hey girl, I totally get not wanting to rock the boat if things are going really well with this guy now. If you genuinely love him after 3 years, that's what matters most. And yeah, I don't think he needs to know your cousin dared you at the start - what good would it do telling him that? It might just make him feel weird for no reason. Sometimes what we don't know can't hurt us, you know? As long as you've truly fallen for him since then and treat him right, I say let the past stay in the past. You canceled that silly dare game quick anyway once you started liking him for real. I doubt it even counts as "dating" when it was just gonna be for 50 bucks! Don't stress over how it began - enjoy what you've built together now. That's way more meaningful than some random bet from way back when. Your secret is safe with me, girl!
Here's your problem, all it takes is a random overheard remark to blow this up in your face.
Once that happens, your partner may decide he needs to leave. There are many such stories in reddit on the relationship forums etc where a passing remark is overheard, a partner was less than honest and it destroyed a long term relationship over hiding such topics.
I get not wanting to rock the boat but these subjects have a way of being found out.
No it doesn’t matter. Love will always find a way and I think it’s a romantic story to tell
Yeah, true. My cousin found love too.
