+1 yMost men want to be with multiple women in a typical afternoon.
Most married guys don't admit that to their wives though.
Did your husband tell you that for any particular reason?

Asker+1 yHe’s just letting me know his future plans 20 years down the road so I’m prepared for the divorce so it won’t be traumatizing..
- +1 y
That's kinda gross no offense.
Asker+1 yYeah probably. Maybe I tolerate him too much. My shortcoming is I really love genuine conversations so I’d rather he tells me the truth.
- +1 y
I mean it's not gross to admit having lustful thoughts about other women, or wanting multiple women, or whatever he exactly said to you.
But if he literally expects to get divorced someday BECAUSE he wants multiple women, THAT is gross.
Asker+1 yBecause we have kids together and I want my kids to grow up with a father figure…I’m at a disadvantage now since I’m a lady with kids not in 20s anymore.
- +1 y
You gave him your best years and kids and he rewards you by letting you know that in a few years he will leave you for a gold digging bimbo, sorry to say this but he sounds nothing short of a psychopath to me. That won't change your point of view but I just had to say that, I'm sorry your in that situation.
Asker+1 yIt’s ok, I need to hear this since I want to start detaching from him emotionally. It’s a growing up process for me personally. Thanks for your honesty.

Ah, the age-old question about monogamy vs. polygamy, sprinkled with a dash of personal philosophy and a pinch of "growth mindset" theory—how spicy! Let's slice into this mixed salad, shall we? First off, not all men are cut from the same cloth, and desires can widely vary from one individual to another. Some men find genuine satisfaction and fulfillment in the emotional depth and commitment of a monogamous relationship. It's like having your favorite dish every day and still loving it because it's prepared with love and care—always tastes divine!
On the flip side, sure, there are those who crave variety, likening their romantic life to a buffet, where they want to sample everything. This isn't exclusively a male trait, though; women can feel this way too. It's more about personal preference, values, and, in some cases, the phase of life someone is in.
As for your husband's take on the "growth mindset," it's a fascinating interpretation but might be stretching the concept a bit thin. A growth mindset is typically about believing in the capacity to learn and grow over time, not necessarily about diversifying romantic partners. Equating a monogamous preference to a lack of options or religious adherence is quite a leap. Many people choose monogamy because it aligns with their values, emotional needs, and ideas of personal fulfillment.
Remember, the key ingredient in any relationship recipe is communication. It's crucial that you express how you feel about your husband's views and discuss what both of your expectations are for your relationship. Keep it flavorful, keep it honest, and you'll find the right recipe for love that works for you both. 😉14 Reply
Asker+1 yVery well said! Yes, the only thing we have for our marriage is to raise the kids together as life partners then he will pursue a divorce because he wants to live life to the fullest by also being with other ladies in the future…

Men generally want multiple women.
Women generally want the best man.
The reason for this is simply explained with biology:
A woman can only be pregnant once per 9 months, which generally means one child per 9 months assuming it isn't twins or more. It represents a considerable investment of time and energy, not to mention potential health risks. So it is in her best interests to ensure her child gets the strongest genetics they can from the most capable father. Quality over Quantity.
A man, meanwhile, could hypothetically impregnate hundreds or thousands of women within the space of 9 months. Each one does not represent much of an investment at all, and impregnating one woman does not significantly physically impact his ability to impregnate another immediately after. So it is in his genetic best interests to impregnate as many as possible.
Quantity over Quality.
This is all biological conditioning going back millions of years. Cultural memetic influence layered on top of that will generally have more control over human lifestyles, but it doesn't change the fact that men and women will be compelled to behave along biological lines when it comes to sex, even if they're not breeding.01 Reply
Asker+1 yMaybe it’s true for other men out there. But my husband already did vasectomy. He doesn’t want more kids, he just wants different experiences with different ladies since he didn’t do that when he’s in 20s.

I am under the impression that what your husband said is very accurate for the majority of them, however I think that there are a few who even if they have multiple available options, they would refuse and not even be tempted to go for it nor would they entertain it, however that is the minority according to my observations.

Asker+1 yI agree. And I wonder where are these minority guys that are loyal?

+1 yI can prove to you he's wrong. I have no desire to be with anyone but my Wife!
I'm not religious and I've turned down more offers from women than he's had hot dinners just whilst driving a London Taxi at night alone. Other times too. Sometimes even whilst my wife was sitting right there!
I reckon he just wants to find a way where you'll understand him cheating on you..20 Reply Yes and no. I want to have sex with every woman who is attractive to me.
But at the end of the day all I want is to be married to one woman and have a family.10 Reply
+1 yYour husband is right, but men do have the ability to turn off those feelings and when a guy loves his girlfriend/wife, his love overrides any brief lust over another girl.

+1 yI think most men are genetically engineered to seek multiple partners. It just depends on person to person, whether they want to give into the urge or not

+1 yYou're husband must spare us from his scumy wisdom and one woman is surely enough! At least for me it's like that!

Asker+1 yHe meant that for successful man, they can get any lady they want. e. g. Leo DiCaprio…
Opinion Owner+1 yMy answer hasn't changed.
Anonymous(18-24)+1 yMay be true, but him telling you THAT? His WIFE? That's disrespectful af. He's telling you that so you learn to accept it when he cheats someday. 🤦♀️

Asker+1 yWe have very open communication and he talked about divorce after the kids are all grown so that he can start his exploration…he won’t cheat and he would tell me…
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yI'm sure that's true of some men, and women for that matter. In fact, considering women file 80% of divorces, I'd say it's more true of women.
But I think most men would rather find the woman of their dreams and settle down for life.

+1 yYeah, it’s biology. Your mission is to nurse, our is to fuck. It’s not personal, or something we can’t control, it just is what it is.

Asker+1 yUr right, this is the sad truth about men in my opinion.
+1 yNo, your husband just doesn't like you lol 😆 and cheats on u
010 Reply
Asker+1 yI know that. He told me I’m not attractive enough and the only reason we are together is because at the time he thought attractiveness is not all that matters since I have very good characters and qualities. But as years go by, he thought he needs to follow biology and find others that he’s very attracted too.

🤣🤣 embarrassing get some self respect
Asker+1 yNot embarrassing at all. I like honesty. by the way, I have a great career so this kind of stuff is meh…
Asker+1 yOthers opinion is not that important if you understand yourself enough to know whether others are true or not. When ur strong enough, no one can make u feel disrespected.

🤣🤣what a loser so you know you're ugly. He does not like u
Asker+1 yI know I’m not ugly. My husband told me even if he’s with the most gorgeous woman on earth, he still would want to explore other women. I’m 7 out of 10 according to my husband. 106 lb, 5 ft 6 inch.
Asker+1 yFrom ur language I can tell you may from a lower education background
