Do married men flirt for fun?

I have a very flirty/touchy person in my life. I’m wondering if married men like him typically flirt with you ONLY if they intend on grooming you for an affair or if they are just having “fun” with no intention of going further?

I'm a married old guy.

I flirt sometimes just because it makes two people feel good, myself and those with whom I flirt.

I make it clear, as needed, when I do flirt, that I'm married, and that my intent is to just make each other's day a bit brighter by flirting a little bit.

There are many different ways in which to flirt, depending on the type of person I may be flirting with.

A few years ago, I found myself flirting with a lovely young lady over a period of several months.
Ours was a professional relationship, with her attending to me in a professional medical capacity.
Long story short, she sat with me every day for a half hour or so while I was receiving a medical treatment.
We would talk about numerous subjects, and we became very close.
We began to flirt with one another.
I view her as a daughter that I never had, as a very close friend, as a very qualified professional in her field, and yes, as crazy as it sounds, I had and still have romantic feelings for her.

I would never, ever cross beyond flirting with her or anyone, but I consider my life as being enriched, and hopefully hers was as well, by our having flirted together.

So, flirting for fun? Yes!
Flirting to deeply enrich the lives of people? Absolutely!
Flirting for ulterior reasons? Never.

Grooming means manipulating someone with no ability to consent... like a 12 year old. Or a 5 year old. What you are describing is flirting or seduction.

No guy is going to touch you if they aren't seriously wanting to go all the way.

And the fact you let him tells him you're willing.

Uhm girl, any one who flirts while they’re married or in a relationship most of the time is a running red flag with bad intentions for validation/entertainment or potential affairs… 🙄 but no don’t generalize this for “married men” alone as there are those who are very loyal and dedicated to their wives to not bothered doing this.

Very interesting perspective. And one with valuable merit. Quite obviously he has no problem flirting with her, so she’s either not made it obvious she doesn’t like his advances or she’s enjoying it. And in my experience having women flirt with me, knowing I’m married; they deliberately authored their date with their own hand.

They think that they are special because someone off limits clearly has approached them, when they are just the select few desperate women that are flattered by a married man’s advances, and not grossed out by the fact that this man is trying to attempt the most coward act (cheating) possible. As a married man myself, I can say that I’m less concerned with my public image and I carry myself with more confidence than in my single days. I think sometimes having this comfortable and secure charisma comes across as flirting and I have had several women, some married, reciprocate what they felt was an active interest. So don’t immediately interpret his confidence or social aptitude as “flirting”.
