Which ex? I've had lots of girlfriends. When I think of them I remember how sweet and pretty they were, and how good the sex was.

Okay, one turned out to be a bitch, but that was only after living happily together for nearly a year.

But there was another one that I lived with for nearly two years and loved with all my heart. I still do. She died at age 55 from a sudden medical problem about 23 years after we separated. I think about her all the time.

I never went through a divorce. My first and only wife and I have been happily married now for almost 28 years.

My most recent ex... I think of all the good bits. Having someone present to talk to. Cuddle. Go shops with. How he would run my bath ready for when I got home from work. Make me hot chocolate in the mornings. And cook and clean so I got time for my studies and him. And I think of the sex of course. But then I think of the arguments, how he pushed me to the floor or grabbed my hair or vindictively pinched me and was mean to my dog and kids...
