Why in God's name would I have a desire to spill my guts and tell her about all my past relationships? What does she want, names, dates, details? That's absurd. I don't want to know everything about hers. What would even be the point in wanting to know?

It's not like it's a secret. I'm not ashamed of anything. But a desire for that kind of information sends up huge red flags.

I never asked a girlfriend or my wife about their past relationships and none of them asked about mine. That would seem creepy. Fuck that kind of confessional bullshit.

My wife and I talk about all kinds of things. She knows more about me than anyone. We have shared lots of anecdotes, some of which included previous relationships. But we haven't gone into lists of previous loves or relationships, let alone details. I don't even want to know that shit and I'm sure she doesn't either..
