I would probably choose someone with adhd as I've already dated someone with that and they were fine as long as they took their meds and even sometimes when they didn't it wasn't bad at all to deal with.
7.2K opinions shared on Relationships topic. ADHD is the only one I’d consider. I on e dated what turned out to be a Borderline- you don’t want to do that.

As a relationship coach, I'd say dating is all about understanding, love, and those sometimes frustrating quirks that make someone who they are! Everyone has their unique challenges, whether it’s ADHD, anxiety, or the tendency to leave socks everywhere. It's all about how you both communicate, love, and grow together. Life's a journey, and partnering with someone who understands that makes it all the more exciting! Adventure awaits, lovebird! 😉

1 yWell, among those listed, ADHD is the most benign. I chose that but I have dated two women with it in the past and they do tend to require a lot of patience. I can tell numerous stories regarding BOTH. It makes for good entertainment.
One lady who I dated with ADHD has a PhD in psychology. We went to a restaurant and she called the waitress back 3 times to change her order. I told her that was going to confuse the waitress and they will probably get it wrong. Sure enough, they got it wrong and she sent it back. I tried to tell her politely that she shouldn't send the order back but she did anyway, only being concerned that they "got it wrong". After lunch, she wanted to go to the gun shop across the street to get more ammo for her handgun. She asked to buy the ammo, but she couldn't recall what caliber her gun was. As if that wasn't important!
The other lady with ADHD that I dated... Stories too numerous to tell here!! LOL...

Ok the other lady who I dated with ADHD... The stories are numerous but one example is, one day I called her to see if she wanted me to pick up some lunch for her. She gave me her order and I told her I'd be there in 45 minutes. I picked up the food and showed up at her house and knocked on the door. There was no answer but her dogs were barking. I kept knocking every minute or two. I figured maybe she was in the bathroom and would be right out. But no she never came to the door. After 20 minutes of waiting and knocking and the dogs barking up a storm, I waked away. But where I was walking down her driveway, she walked out from the side of the house with a trash can. She had been working in the back yard and had already forgot about the fact I was bringing lunch. The barking dogs meant nothing to her.
1 yIs an impulsive lair one of them? When I was really young a teenager. This one guy love to be the center of attention and show off and was stuck up the guy had wealthy parents. when summer was over I lied to the whole school how he travel to England and Met Queen Elizabeth and how he had dinner with the Queen. Yeah right in his dreams. I ask his sister and according to his sister he lied and made the whole story up because he tough the whole I had dinner with Queen Elizabeth and The Dutch would make him popular threw the whole school. I mean no offense the guy was good at sports. But no need to lie and make up a store just to gain better reputation.
10 Replyout of these adhd for sure, i dont consider it a mental health problem. besides having a little extra energetic and not wanting to lay around all day is a plus
everything else especially shizophrenia & did (aside from depression maybe), i could never. immediate deal breaker

Anonymous(36-45)1 yAs a high functioning schizophrenic living with depression, I’d rule out other schizophrenics. Only because the condition renders you unable to work (or unwise to work). Also, I’d find the moments of paranoia and psychosis too much to deal with, on top of my own severe depression and severe anxiety disorder and my schizophrenia. Dealing with the special diet for weight gain and constant tiredness from the medication renders me unwise to raise kids. I’d be a negligent mother or one who was constantly sick and emotional.
As someone with several serious conditions, I’d advise against marrying people with some of these mental illnesses if you want to raise a family and have an active lifestyle without added stress and money problems. Maybe marriage would be okay. But kids? I know I personally would love to work and raise kids, but I can’t. I’m reluctant to attempt it.
10 Reply1.2K opinions shared on Relationships topic. I never date crazy.
But technically if the person is taking their meds, then they should not be a problem. But their kids will most likely be abnormal.
Hence why you're getting kids with all sorts of conditions as their parents take all sorts of meds to "help" themselves.

1 yAdhd is the note tolerable one out of them all. I have ADD. My exes in the past had borderline personality and bipolar disorder, and one had schizophrenia. 🤷🏻♂️ All women have something unfortunately.

Excuse you so do men. I met a guy who was a compulsive lair. He made up a lie about how he travel to England and met the Queen Elizabeth how he had dinner with her. Yeah right I'm his dreams.
Anonymous(30-35)1 yAs I too have OCD, it would be helpful to connect with someone who also has the same condition so that we can support and understand each other, which would be comforting for both of us. However, I wouldn't turn away a connection from anyone who has any other mental illness. I would research it more in an attempt to make it function so I could offer them the same assistance and comprehension.

30 Reply2.3K opinions shared on Relationships topic. I would date a person with schizoid personality disorder which is not mentioned on the poll. I would also date someone with generalized anxiety disorder. OCD and ADHD are perfectly fine too.
10 Reply7.3K opinions shared on Relationships topic. I dated somebody who I think was bipolar. I really liked her most of the time. I will stick with that.

1 yADHD isn't a mental illness.
14 Reply- 1 y
It is. Look up mental illness on Google. It's a mental disorder but also mental illness listed.
- 1 y
It is listed as one the of the mental illnesses
- 1 y
I was never considered mentally ill for it, but if it is that's very odd. It's usually considered a disorder and learning problem.
- 1 y
I was shocked to see it listed as such but that's what was on the list on Google so I included it in the poll.
531 opinions shared on Relationships topic. ADHD easy. Tbh though it highly depends on how great the person is, not the mental illness.

1 yAdhd is a mental illness?
17 Reply- 1 y
Yes it is
- 1 y
ADHD is a neurological disorder of the neurodevelpmental type that makes people more susceptible to mental illness. So this is not quite accurate.
- 1 y
I got it from Google. It's listed as a mental illness.
- 1 y
In one search. It is overwhelmingly list3d as a neurological disorder. You're not mentally ill, dear.
- 1 y
I don't have adhd. My ex does. I have clinical depression. But I just listed it in the poll because it said it was the same thing. Mental disorder and mental illness is virtually the same thing according to Google.
- 1 y
People with ADHD are far more susceptible to mental illnesses. I have this issue and I've been fortunate enough not to slip too far with some BPD traits that sprung up in my teens. I have to make sure I keep my mind in check, exercise etc. But yeah, I hope you're manging your depression as best as you can. It's a really tough disease and with all the awareness people seem to be gettung more merciless. 💓

Thanks. I am with medication and exercise and so on. It truly is a tough disease. Wouldn't wish it on anyone.
1.3K opinions shared on Relationships topic. I picked OCD. A very clean man sounds kinda nice.

Hello, I am a woman with OCD, and I realise that this was not meant to be sarcastic. Most nights, I have violent, unfathomable thoughts and flashing visions of people being murdered or raped. All of this is to imply that OCD is far worse than cleaning. I've scrubbed my hands so frequently that at one point the only colour left on them was crimson from daily bleeding. I have to follow a ritual, or else someone I care about might die. I could talk about this sickness for a long time and everything that comes with it, but I'm tired, and guess what? There are dishes to wash, but they can wait.
